Well, I'm guessing it was Brubaker, considering that there was some dialogue about it. Either way, it was cool. Little things like that make a shared universe worth having.

So the Eternals were created by the Celestials, the Inhumans were created by the Kree, the Deviants are offshoots of Eternals. So who's stronger?

No, the Eternals and the Deviants were both created by the Celestials as offshoots of the main population of whatever race was coming to dominate the planet early in its history. The Celestials plucked some cavemen off of Earth and created the Deviants and Eternals of Earth based on them. Presumably they did the same to the Skrull equivalent of cavemen.

The Inhumans were an attempt by the Kree to imitate the Celestials' manipulations and create their own Eternal-type super-beings, I believe. But don't quote me on that, check Wikipedia. I'm too lazy at the moment and that's just how I personally remember the Inhumans' origin.

On Earth, the Eternals are easily the strongest individually since they're immortal and they have basically every power in the book to various extents based on training and personal preference. But the Deviants breed a lot faster, so they have strength in numbers. Both the Deviants and Eternals are superior to the parent race, though. I think only the Deviant Skrulls could shapeshift, so that presumably helped them win against their parent race and their Eternal counterparts.

Yep, the Deviant race won on the Skrull homeworld. I think they killed off all of the parent race and the Eternal Skrulls, but there could conceivably be some Eternal survivors, at least, since the Eternals are usually immortal and virtually indestructible.

Now here's where it gets confusing. If the Deviant Skrulls won the Skrull homeworld, they became "peaceful" and aided the Kree where they chose Pink Kree to advance technologically pissing off the Blue Kree thus sparking off a long-term blood feud. Cosmic history. Love it.

I actually found the mini to be a little boring. I probably would've liked it a lot more if it had been a couple issues shorter. Gaiman originally intended it to be shorter, but Marvel nixed that and decided to milk it for as long as they could.

I was so afraid that they were only going to have a mini and it would never become a series, so I savored the milking

No, it's not Gaiman's fault (well, it wasn't his idea, but he did go along with it). If you look at the covers, specifically the numbering, you'll see that when it started, it was numbered "X of 6". But when issue #6 shipped, it was numbered as "6 of 7".

Or you could just choose not to believe me.

Y'know...I'm pretty sure The Eternals might play a role in SI too.

I really wish they'd gotten their grammar right for that slogan. It annoys me every time I read it, and it's everywhere now.

Ajak is fighting some Skrull gods alongside Hercules in Incredible Herc. Other than that, I doubt the Eternals will play much of a role.

You say grammar, I say dialect. Maybe that's how Americans talk. We really aren't English anymore, well, not most of us.

Grammar and dialect are two completely different things.

I know. But Corp said it was bad grammar. And I'm saying that we have a different dialect in the U.S. than they do in England, so maybe it's just that we don't hold to the same rules that Traditional English grammar instates.

Yeah, I don't get it. Do you think I'm British, Xof? I grew up and still presently live in Florida. I just like good grammar. Although who/whom is so often mistaken that it has become an accepted part of modern vernacular to just let "who" slide for every situation, it still bugs me because it's not at all a hard concept to grasp. People just don't care enough about the language to think about it for that half-second necessary to understand it.

It's getting to the point where these grammar rules are even getting changed due to popular use...I seem to recall hearing that rules regarding the use of who/whom have been or will be officially changed, but I can't remember.
