In other news, I just got a jury duty summons in the mail. What part about "I believe the justice system is corrupt and that district attorneys are more concerned with winning their cases than actual truth and justice" does the county not understand?!

Don't worry. Jury duty is so easy to get out of. You'll end up doing a day and a half of waiting, tops.

Actually, my above quote has gotten me out of jury duty before. And it's pretty much true in a lot of cases. Innocent people go to prison all the time because some a-hole DA fought for the win instead of the truth. They're there to represent the people as a whole, not give a handy to their constituents.

I forgot about mine and called the day after. The lady on the phone sounded like sunshine (not the one from 'Glee',) and she was like, "Well! Luckily for you, they settled!" then she did that really cute, quick Anime "mhm" laugh and continued, "Aren't you lucky!" I could hear her smiling over the phone. I want to get jury duty again just so I can call her... she's vocal euphoria.

Mine wasn't so bad. It lasted a week, work paid for those days and plus the little bit of cash I received for doing it. But aside from that, it sucks and I don't ever want to do it again.
