What does FFINO stand for?
Fantastic Four In Name Only.
It's the real title of this film.

What does FFINO stand for?

Alba can't act and I also think it was the freakin blonde wig/bad dye job to her hair as well as obvious blue contacts that turned people off. There were better actresses who were naturally blond and blue eyed they could have gotten.
I don't mean to imply that we should settle for mediocre. My point was about her casting standing out as a major low aspect of the movie, while pretty much any actress given the situation would have sucked.I am never on board with the "perfectly acceptable" or "good enough" train.
I'm not either really. I want a good choice when it comes to main characters, not good enough. I mean sometimes you are just going to get good enough but I don't think any filmmaker should only strive for such a thing when it comes to casting or the film as a whole.I am never on board with the "perfectly acceptable" or "good enough" train.
Whereas Trank has shown zero regard for the characters resembling their comicbook counterparts, Story went a bit overboard in regards to Sue. He took one of the best looking people in the world and made her look odd. Alba would have been fine with her natural skin tone and eye color along with a few blonde highlights.
And while Alba is not the greatest actress, she would have been a perfectly acceptable Sue with a better script.
While I agree the role wasn't great, heck good, I don't agree that any actress given the situation would have sucked. Quality actresses have taken thankless roles and made them work before.I don't mean to imply that we should settle for mediocre. This is Fox's version of learning from their mistakes. Its ironic how in the Story films Johnny, Reed and Ben looked closer to their comic counterparts, and Sue less so.
Now with this film, Johnny, Reed and Ben less resemble their comic counterparts, while Sue more closely resembles hers.
Yep. It happens, but it shouldn't be what directors and casting should be striving for.I'm not either really. I want a good choice when it comes to main characters, not good enough. Yeah, but Sue's role was specially bad. I find it hard to imagine any actress, no matter how good she is, handling the "oops-now-visible-and-naked" scenes, and nagging all the time. While I agree the role wasn't great, heck good, I don't agree that any actress given the situation would have sucked. Quality actresses have taken thankless roles and made them work before.
Sadly, yes. They hear the fans complaining, and then they hear what they want to hear and go for the most convenient/safest solution. The FF movie was "campy", let's go gritty, Sue was miscast, let's cast a decent actress, to hell with the rest of the cast. This is Fox's version of learning from their mistakes.

I went from an dark lord of the Sith, to a knockoff Joker. Do I look okay to you? You're looking a little pale, are you okay?![]()

He did what was asked of him. Ironically I thought he was more like Reed Richards in the TV show he was in recently (Forever).

Ohh I see now...
Guess I'll have to watch the movie to find out how bad/good the Human Torch and the Thing really is
