To be true to the original comics, but not be a pointless and slow start, Gwen would be the ideal choice. To use someone like Betty or Liz would just be a waste of a movie.

I'm hoping this shortlist is for Gwen. That'd be my ideal choice, another trilogy focusing soley on MJ would be incredibly tedious. So I'm glad she's on the sidelines, and maybe not even there at all for this movie.

We've already got a taste of MJ as the ''first''. I think its fair to give Gwen the chance. Not to mention it just makes the movie that more different from Raimi's. And this way, we can get MJ in a more faithful and maybe even a more powerful way rather than her just always being there.

I'm definitely with Gwen but like in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince when Ginny was dating Dean Thomas, I wouldn't mind Parker dating Liz until eventually realising that he'd really be better off with Gwen, which would happen by Movie 1's end. Having Gwen die in Movie 3 would be the ideal thing to do as I'm also hoping that they include Doc Ock killing off her father in possibly Movie 2.

I'd like Betty in there too somehow but would prefer it to be a passing mention that they dated once he gets a job at the Bugle.

I think all 3 would be a bit much. I don't recall him ever juggling more than two gals at once.
