I mean, yea, Superman tried to stop nuclear war in the fourth installment, but is this the first TRUE superhero movie where the main character tried to go beyond his city? In these superhero movies the hero pretty much only saves the citizens of his city. Iron Man actually went beyond that! I believe that what makes this movie stand out from the rest.

Yeah I agree with you there. I think it really does make it shine out from the others.

I just hope we get more of that in the sequel. The ending with [BLACKOUT]with the battle in L.A. or whatever[/BLACKOUT] didn't satisfy me. They should have [BLACKOUT]fought somewhere else.[/BLACKOUT]

So...I hope the sequel is more [BLACKOUT]global.[/BLACKOUT]

I think it very well could be. [BLACKOUT]Especially since it seems they are going the way of the Mandarin in the next one.[/BLACKOUT]

I wouldn't be surprised if we got an announcement next week. They already said that if the movie is a hit we'll get Iron Man 2 in 2010.

Yeah I saw that. I think that is a good amount of time in between them.

Especially since it seems that they are ALREADY preparing for it.

I'm sure Faverau already has a idea of what he wants. I think he was the best director for the movie.

I expect an announcement on tuesday.

I can't really think of anyone else who could have done it. But yeah his strong suit is the funny stuff, hopeful he can perfect the action stuff for the next one.

How old do you think Stark was suppose to be in the Film? My guess was a tad over 30. A friend that went thought he was in his mid to late 20's. I thought they made reference to his age during the award presentation, but I could be wrong.

He was 21 when he took over the company.

Maybe even sooner. The theater was packed. I expect big numbers for this movie just for TODAY.

Nah man, Monday will be the "it blew away all of our expectations, and people seem to love it!" day. Tuesday will be "Iron Man 2: May 28th 2010 Mark it down" day

I hope that announcement comes with "hey, we're going completely global next time."

I think so...? I tried to block those FF movies from my mind....But yeah, they saved the world from "Galactus".

Actually I'd put him at close to RDJ's actual age...

Yea, Iron Man wasn't supposed to be a young person. He was supposed to be a guy with years of experience at what he does.
