THE FLASH - 2016 can't get here fast enough!

Zoom wouldn't be hard to adapt at all though; I mean, if you can make Flash work onscreen, you can make Zoom work.

But I wouldn't use Zoom in an origin story. It could be kinda confusing for "normal" moviegoers and could also seem a bit lazy ("Oh! It's a movie about a super fast guy in red tights fighting a super fast guy in yellow tights!").
I'd like to see Mirror Master in live action. I think the whole "fast guy" vs. "guy who can disappear and reappear and disorient the fast guy" would work out pretty well.
If people like The Flash and get the story you can introduce Zoom in a later movie (and then it would hopefully turn out to be awsome!).

I love flash, but kind of hate his rogue gallery. At the very least they should not name any o the villains in the film - they'll be straight up laughable to the GA.

But that's the point - the Rogues are a bunch of rejects. And ironically very self-aware.

I just realized Doug Liman would probably kill as the director for the Flash. Jumper is pretty much an audition reel for it!

Exactly.
And peope should really take a look at most of the villains of their favourite characters: most of them are laughable to the GA.

Kevin Smith- I like all the the ideas, except the ring. I never did like the ring.

I've only read the first arc in new 52 Flash, and I was kinda disappointed. It set up for Grodd in the second arc though, so that's cool. Does it get better as time goes on? I'll retread the first one anyway, maybe I was tired or something.

Thanks, man. And I agree on the ring, I was never a huge fan of it, but if they do it how I listed it is the way I think they should go. I could take or leave it, honestly.

And yes, the NEW 52 Flash series definitely picks up as it goes on. On the whole I think it's been very entertaining, even if you dislike the stories (which I think are quite good), the art is always amazing. Best of the New 52 for me, personally, and at least in the top 5 books objectively, IMO.

I convieniently look into this thread and cool, a reply. Haha

I read about what vol. 2 and 3 are about, and they sound much better. Excellent

Doug Liman is good and can do blockbusters plus he's directed The new Tom Cruise film Edge of Tomorrow so he's one WB might look to direct a DC film like The Flash,

Some characters like Trickster and Captain Cold might be tough to adapt. The latter might not be too hard though, if they just drop the "Captain" from his name. Just calling him Cold and making him a coldblooded bastard could work fine.

Eh, how often are villains called by their code names in movies anyway, its not really a big deal.

Plus Zoom is Flash's most personal and powerful enemy, it seems like he should be saved for a sequel.

I know I'm late as all hell, but finally we get a Flash movie. He's the last superhero I really think they can do something unique with on screen.

after watching flashpoint paradox i thought, he could so be as big as spider-man.

As the fans know, his potential is huge.
Now, if only WB could announce the goddam movie!:yay:

i thought that before the movie, i just wanted to reiterate it. i hope superman/batman is a massive hit so they can focus on wondy and the flash.

Keep the ear thingies. Explain them as helping direct the electricity spilloff so that Flash doesn't get feedback from harnessing the extradimensional speed force. Toss this explanation in with the suit cutting the friction down and viola... classic Flash costume.

Also, use Dr. Alchemy as the first villain, perhaps with Captain Boomerang on the side. Dr. Alchemy is the best foe to have a common origin with Flash, making the movie better overall, and allowing one to focus on the origin issue instead of trying to introduce a bunch of Rogues' tech and personalities or being cheap and doing Reverse Flash which, even if done well, makes everything else anticlimactic. And Captain Boomerang doesn't really need an origin, honestly, and makes for a great CSI case.

The Rogues, overall, are some of the best villains in comics. They, in concert, are his archnemesis, and his most personal foes. Reverse Flash is more like his Bane or something. But the Rogues, led by Cold are a cohesive team of supervillains... that's huge, and the fact that they're all full characters makes them that much more awesome.

So true.

Just loved how they showed all of the Flash villains in Justice League Flash-point paradox movie.

Especially Prof. Zoom (Reverse Flash) and Mirror Master, it would be cool to see them in a live action movie.

I feel sad when Marvel is having two Quick silvers in their movie, it kind of reduces Flash's importance, that's what happens when WB just sits on their DC properties.

Zoom could tie in with Flash's origin, and the Rogues only make sense if he's already established. So if we get a trilogy, I say...

1. Zoom
2. The Rogues
3. Grodd (the third film is always the biggest and weirdest)

Just watched Flashpoint Paradox, it reinforced my love for the character.
Seriously, WB? This character is gold waiting to be picked up. Just get a good screenwriter and a good director. It can't be THAT hard.

Wow, this IS the live action suit. This IS the look :)
But the face beneath the cowl needs to look more "alive" :P

I don't know many other villains for Flash other than Grodd. And I don't know how they could manage to make that work on film.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller should direct this movie!

Watch (or rewatch) Peter Jackson's King Kong or Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The technology for GG is there, it would only be a matter of finding the right voice actor.

How about Walter Hill? He's always about criminal corporations and bad guys. Take a look at Bullet To The Head. It feels like it has several villains (but working together) and it also has a police angle to it. Just transfer that recipe to Flash, but make it a better film for heaven's sake. BTTH sucked.
