When we will get a Flash movie (which will happen someday) who would you like to see direct the film

hmm their is a bunch of directors that would probably be great.

Joss Whedon, despite his recent anti-DC rant. It sounds like it was directed at WW and Superman, not The Flash.

The Flash is tailor made for Whedon. It's a simpler fantasy concept that Whedon can build a great character piece around, and his humor is perfect for The Flash, either Wally or Barry. And I do think Whedon would do a Flash: Legacy movie before another run of the mill origin story.

I think Joss is good for it.

I would nominate Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz)

well i mean if he was available. I think he would be ideal because he handles action/adventure and comedy well, and he's good with characters. To the point where you do care for them.

I think he has Scott Pilgrim now, and then he's doing another comedy. I don't know what's up with Ant Man at this point.

Other option has been added.

McG option has wrong Terminator film lol, but as director i wouldnt mind, goyer, pirates director, cameron as some guys i would like to see.

Carnahan, Luc Besson, Cameron, Verbinski and McTiernan would be great.

Proyas, JJ Abrams and Wisemen would make excellent Flash directors, too.

Speilberg would never touch this. He'd just give it to Michael Bay.

Michael Bay on Flash is almost as great as Michael Bay on Superman.

:facepalm
I know its "cool" to hate on Michael Bay and all, but he makes visually exciting films. Add that with a good script and you have good times.

Transformers is as good as Iron Man, IMHO.

So can many other directors.

The highest quality Bay scripts are mediocre at best. The other director's listed in this thread pick better scripts then he does for their projects.

:hehe:

Joss Whedon would be great for it, and I can also see J.J. Abrams, but I've been thinking about Brad Bird lately, and I feel like he could be a really good fit (and yes, I know he's only directed animated movies so far, but still).

Michael Bay is the American Blockbuster.
No, that's Spielberg. James Cameron can share that honor, as well.

They'd get much, much better scripts to adapt which would improve the movies over whatever Bay chose to make. This would make them much better films.

For reelz!
Iron Man is a movie Bay could never make on the best day of his life.

The Wachowski's would actually be really great for this.
If they didnt write the script.
Imagine all of the great visual flair of The Matrix films (and especially Speed Racer) without any of the crappiness that usually comes with their story ideas...

Agreed.

edit: I'll add Luc Besson, Zach Snyder, Wolfgang Petersen, Peter Segal, Roland Emmerich and Kerry Conran.

yea i wouldnt just want a director that is just known for huge action visuals i rather have one that can handle those action visual/scenes and be able to tell a good story from the script like a spielberg/cameron type.
