"Revenge of the Rogues" - One goal, one focus, one problem. The Flash returns with all new episodes Tuesday January 20th.

That doesn't seem like Captain Cold's style...

Not sure if I like, but I will wait and see. I really did like his portrayal in Going Rogue.

i liked that wells approved the name reverse flash :D

As did I. :woot: Instant "grin" moment. In addition to the creepiness and climbing obsession, I've also thought there to be a real cheekiness to his performance. There's something subtly lampoonish about his performance that I'm enjoying.

... so now that Wells has been revealed to be villainous, will this continue throughout the tenure of the show, or will he have a "Lionel Luthor" moment of clarity when he genuinely changes his ways?

I'm not sure if I'm right here but to me it seems like he needs the Flsh to reach his full potential. Looking at that Newspaper article he keeps looking at in the vault, he doesn't seem to be too happy about the Flash disappearing during crisis.

Well, if you weren't a fan of the suit, then you definitely get your revenge in this episode.lol

They say this one is supposed to have vfx to rival a theatrical one.

I love how comic booky Heatwave and Cold sound.

Wells: "I hope we're not enemies".
Barry: "Nah. Of course not."

:funny:

Barry training against the drone and reversing the missile in mid air looked cool. The scene where Cisco demonstrated the shields for the police was good as well. Looks like Firestorm will actually have transmutation powers plus Jason Rusch shows up. I thought the Heat Wave and Captain Cold scenes were all pretty good. "You mean like Ghostbusters?" made me laugh. I like that Cold called Barry the Scarlet Speedster. Wasn't expecting Eddie to run out and protect the Flash. Nice Golden Glider tease at the end.

Another fun episode.

Did Cold seemed less chill to anyone else?

I laughed how it took Barry and Eddie to carry that box down the stairs, but Eddie walks away with it a second after like it's nothing. Also, Joe giving Barry and Iris some space, but he's like a foot away.

As expected, the Heatwave/Captain Cold team up was very impressive. I liked the "comicbookiness" of them and "the plan".

I really wish the Flash would've spoken to them (beyond the brief words to CC). I get the sense they don't want him to use the "modulated" voice all the time (of which I'm thankful), but at the same time, you lose a lot of the fun banter they could have for fear someone (Eddie,in this case) will overhear.

The Iris subplot was...alright.I still don't really care and wish more time was spent elsewhere. The search for Firestorm was interesting. Kinda wish Barry saved Caitlin,but...baby steps.

Wells was...well,Wells and Cisco got some cool moments. "Cross the streams.":woot:

This episode was worth it just for the Flash being referred to as "the Scarlet Speedster." Actually, Captain Cold adds a nice gravitas by being calm and collected the whole time. I like how neither was a metahuman, but they're still convincing threats.

Otherwise, the plot of the Flash choosing to ignore him didn't really do much (but they didn't try to oversell it either). I like that it had a sinister tone, since we still don't know what Wells wants.

They were definitely trying to rub in the fact that Wells is only using Barry now that we know for sure we can't trust him. It still makes me wonder what's going to happen to the team once Barry finds out the truth and Wells is removed from the equation.

With all that said, I didn't think this show would last more than one season because I didn't think there was enough substance to deal with one a weekly basis, but they sure have made this show something great.

I already loved him in the role, but this episode just reconfirms to me that Miller is perfect for Cold. The Rogues are off to a great start. With Golden Glider showing up now, Weather Wizard and Trickster scheduled to appear, and Captain Boomerang presumably escaping prison with Deathstroke, the Rogues are shaping up very nicely.

The effects were espically great this episode.

I'm thrilled to know that Firestorm will have transmutation powers, but I'm even more intruiged as to how exactly Ronnie got caught up in it all.

Barry moving in with Joe should be fun. They have great chemistry together.

And I can't wait for next week. The Pied Piper looks terrific. And hopefully we get a look at Golden Glider sooner than later.

Oh my goodness. All that episode I was not expecting such beauty. I give it a 9 out of 10, I almost didn't catch the ending being a reference to that cover. I did wish there was slightly more banter but it worked in the end. I love how Mick and Cold were polar opposites. It feeled like something that jumped out of the comics.
