The Flash TV series

So I was browsing the internet trying to see if I could find any good animated gifs of The Flash (If anyone knows any good resources for some I'd appreciate a link by the way) when I came across The Flash TV series page on the WB website. It allows you to watch the episodes for free. So I thought I'd share the link for those that might be interested in watching The Flash. :yay:

Thank you for the link. I have the series on DVD myself....but for those interested in the series and want to decide whether to buy or not that should give them some help.

Watched the pilot again after seeing this thread. I got the DVD over the Summer and was pleasantly surprised to see Bryan Cranston play a villain in one of the episodes.

Think I might finally buy the DVD set since it's much cheaper now. I remember it being really expensive when it came out.

I only really remember the Pilot. Which was awesome.

There's a lot of great episodes...the two with Mark Hamil as THE TRICKSTER are classic.

Indeed they were. Captain Cold would have been a great recurring villain had he had the chance to come back.

I know Warners released the pilot movie on VHS tape back in the day (I still have it)....but I think they released the Trickster episodes together on tape also. I'm not sure if it was recut as a movie or just released as simply two episodes. I have thought about doing a fanedit where I put them together as a movie. I would also like to put the two Nightshade episodes together as a movie also.

Michael Champion made a decent Captain Cold. It would have been nice to see him make multiple episodes too.

I used to watch this show. While I was never a huge fan of The Flash in the comic books, I did really enjoy this series. I didn't get to watch every episode, I think because they kept changing the time slot. I missed both of The Trickster episodes.
It's been so long since I've seen the show, I only really remember the 2 hour pilot episode with any clarity. I remember lmao when The Flash made love to his girlfriend for the forst time since his accident and she says something like "You're done already?"

BTW, as I'm not the biggest Flash Comics fan, can anyone tell me if how he got his powers in the TV show is the same as how he got them in the comics? Was it accidental like Spiderman or The Hulk? Or was he born with them like Quicksilver?

Fun Fact: The guy who played deadly Night Shade was suppose to play Barry Allen. Later on I think he went on to play The Sentential, with the same producers as The Flash.

i had bought the vhs tape of the movie a long time ago, only thought it was a movie. never knew it was the series. gonna have to watch it now.

i have the trickster movie and the nightshade movie on vhs somewhere......
i bought the series on dvd recently, haven't had a chance to watch though

It's hard to believe that was 20 years ago. Jeebus. :wow:

I love this show; picked up the DVD a couple of years ago and still give the discs some run. It's still very enjoyable, especially considering the treatment you might expect a comic property to receive on network TV in 1990.

...and that theme song. :awesome:

You need to let us know if they actually edited the episodes into a movie or left them as two seperate episodes.

PRETTY sure it was just 2 episodes back to back but I THINK they just did one end credits for both 'parts'. it has been a good 15-17 years since I watched the VHS 'movies'. I have the pilot movie VHS that I bought from a video store that went out of business somewhere. did you ever see The Flash's appearance on the 90s Superman? the sound FX of him running and even some of the TV series (NOT the theme song just the 'action bits from him running) music was used when he first shows up:

And since Shirley Walker did the Flash series music as well as the 90's Superman I think it is cool that she incorporated the live action flash music in that episode :awesome:.

One of those great classic shows that didn't really get a chance to shine. I wish SyFy would do those old superhero show marathons during the day like they used too. I loved this show when it came out. Great special effects for a show that came out when CGI was in its infancy.

yes they should

I just bought the DVD set cheap for $24.99 since it's pretty pricey at other places, haven't seen all episodes yet because of workload but damn this show was good.

I remember Thursday nights right after The Simpsons I'd switch over to CBS for The Flash and the theme song was awesome. Never was a Flash fan but I'm a sucker for any superhero TV show.

My favorite bits are when Barry is using his speed for ordinary house chores, cleaning, dusting.
