You can find the latest specs for 'Do The Right Thing: 20th Anniversary’ linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under June 30.

Hell yea

Well I purchased the Samsung LN40A650 and it's such a significant upgrade over my Sharp Aquas. The 120HZ is really something, but it's best to keep that setting on low when watching blu-rays. But watching sports with it set higher is amazing. I couldn't be more happy with the the TV. I'll have to post pics for you guys when I have the chance.

Fox/MGM Catalog Titles Prepared for June
In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and MGM Home Entertainment have revealed that they will bring 10 catalog titles - 'Dark Blue', 'The Graduate', 'M*A*S*H', 'Navy Seals', 'Out of Time', 'Road House', 'Rollerball', 'To Live and Die in L.A.', 'The Towering Inferno', and 'Walking Tall' - to Blu-ray on June 2nd. Technical specs have not been announced at this time, but you can expect to see a 1080p video presentation along with a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

Extras have not been announced at this time for any of the titles.

Count me in for "Out of Time" and "Walking Tall", if it's the one with Dwayne Johnson.

You don't want to see a shirtless Swayze roundhouse kick in 1080p?

I don't know. I've never seen a shirtless Swayze roundhouse kick in ANY resolution? :p

The only reason to get those movies would be to see the girls in the movies, Eva Mendes and Ashley Scott. :woot:

I would also like to bring to everyones attention the website www.Project-Blu.com. They have been having monthly drawings for a free Blu-ray and I just got 2nd prize in their recent contest and got myself a free Blu-ray copy of The Pink Panther you can see my name on their mainpage. So if your looking for a chance to snag up a free Blu-ray or even just to have another cool site with lots of information concerning Blu-ray then go check it out.

Found this in my mailbox today...

Yeah, animated cartoons look awesome. I haven't checked out South Park yet, but Venture Bros. Season 3 looks absolutely stunning.

So what do you do to get in on the contests? Do you have to register for the forum, or do they have a page that you fill out?

Just sign up in the forum and then whenever they open up a contest just post in the thread to enter. They explain all the rules in the first post it is pretty simple.

And it looks like Disney is starting to get a little more extreme.

Snow White Blu-ray Out Seven Weeks Before DVD

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that the upcoming Platinum Edition Blu-ray release of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs', which is due to hit store shelves on October 6th, will be precede the DVD release by seven weeks. Those DVD fans who don't wish to wait until November 24th will be happy to hear that the Blu-ray release will include the DVD version as well, so you get both formats in one release!

Bob Chapek, president of Disney, commented that the Blu-ray/DVD combo format would provide owners "another opportunity to maximize their viewing options. With today's technological breakthroughs found in Blu-ray, we are confident that this version of 'Snow White' will easily become the reference point for high-definition home entertainment libraries and family collections all over the world."

When initially released on DVD in 2001, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' became the first Disney animated classic to sell 1 Million copies in a single day. Hopes are high at the house of mouse that a similar record will be witnessed with this new Platnium release, except this time on the Blu-ray format.

The new release will feature several all-new bonus features that weren't included on the 2001 release.

^ If only it was one of the good Disney cartoons that was coming out 7 weeks earlier. Snow White is my least favorite Disney cartoon. The only good thing about it were the Dwarf's, other than that, blah.

Well, we've got both Fantasia's to look forward to after that, which I personally hate, so I'll take a proper animated film like Snow White over them anyday.

Well I think Snow White will sell very well but I also think this strategy would be more effective with a new release. I really hate to say it but I think if they did this with the upcoming Hannah Montana movie it would payoff for Blu-ray sales.

I'm not a big fan of Fantasia either. So, I'm not looking forward to that one. I'd rather have the 80's-90's era cartoons.

Yeah, I don't doubt that Snow White will sell well, I just don't personally care for it myself. And Hannah Montana...ugh. Does that even deserve to be on Blu-ray?...:hehe:

Come on 10 year old girls need movies to watch too...lol. :oldrazz: If Disney needs to get those trojan horse sales to give Blu-ray a little boost so be it! Muahahahahahaha.

Hannah Montana will lead the way for The Jonah or Jonas or whatever brothers and stuff to come and infiltrate Blu-ray..."NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

:hehe:

Don't worry the fads will be over soon. Miley Cyrus will be getting naked in movies in 5 years and The Jonas Brothers will disappear just like Hanson.

I'm hoping for the Jungle Book the most, but it was released on DVD just before Disney started releasing animated Blu-Rays, so I guess I'm gonna have to wait a while.

Got a few Blu-ray's for sale if anyone wants some movies for cheap.

Be Kind Rewind
Lethal Weapon
Stranger Than Fiction

All 3 Blu-ray's for $31 shipped. PM me if interested.
