I picked up the Batman Anthology today with Amazon.com's Gold Box sale, $57.99 for four films with all those specials is a great deal. Forever is decent at best and I don't need to describe Batman and Robin for anyone but I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

I thought about getting that but, honestly, I only enjoyed the first enough to re buy.

For many years I didn't go a Christmas season without watching the Grinch, but on that note, although no price is given, I'm gonna guess it will be too high for a short feature. What would make it better is if they included The Grinch Meets the Cat and the Hat, or the forgotten, darker, better, sequel, Grinch Night

I sold my DVD Batman Anthology a few months ago for like $25, so the price of upgrading was minimal.

I never heard of this.

I'm guessing The Grinch will be the same price as the other two.

Wow. WB is trying to milk those for all they are worth. I am pretty sure you could fit all of those on one disc...extras and all. They aren't that long in running time.

Especally since you can probably find the DVDs for under $10 online. I don't see how those will benifit from Blu Ray. I mean, the picture on these specials can only look so good.

Well I am sure they can look quite good but to give them $30 MSRP EACH is ridiculous considering like I said they could all fit onto one disc they are so short in length. These are Blu-ray's that should be $9.99 each or $14.99 at the most but thats pushing it.

Which is why I won't bother with these untill they hit that price point. $30 is too much for a 30 minute cartoon.

Well thats the MSRP price which you won't even see it anywhere near that price unless your buying it at like Best Buy or something. On Amazon.com they will probably be at $19.99 at first. They will probably drop fast though because I can't imagine them selling a lot at that price.

Hey, I'm agreeing with you.

It would have been better to combine the Dr. Seuss cartoons as it would seem like a better value.

I would buy that Anthology set, but I've been spending a little too much money lately :csad:

I hear that! I sold some HD DVD's and a player and put some extra money in and have bought like a great deal of movies in the past two weeks. I'm at 150 Blu-ray's now because of it. But yeah, I have some vacation time coming up so I have to save money for that, so no more movie buying for a little while. I think the only thing I'm interested in getting is the Bourne Trilogy and Fast and Furious.

I'm holding off from buying any of the Harry Potters on Blu-ray until both parts of Deathly Hallows come out, because you just know that when they do, WB's gonna put out an "ultimate-superduper-holy crap-everything but the kitchen sink" boxset.

Even if WB does do so, I don't expect any difference in picture/audio quality.

I'm glad I held off on buying the Harry Potters (I'm starting to upgrade my DVDs because blu-ray takes up less space than DVD), but $35 seems a little much.

I'm guessing it will include a digital copy. I hate when they charge extra for that.

Wow sorry WB is already TRIPLE dipping Harry Potter on Blu-ray. Thats a first triple dip for Blu-ray I believe.

Honestly, if you don't care for extras or anything, I recommend the current Potter releases, great PQ/AQ!

I'm glad I got them at the height of Blu-ray's BOGO deals when the Format War was at its craziest.
