Still no denying their successful run!! A lot of hits!

Ok true they lost of lot of funk after becoming crossover band. But they still rocked even with the white sounding type of music. I saw then in concert about 10 years ago, JT still got it.

Get Down on It was cool ....She's Fresh, too. After that it was hard to find something reeeeeally funkin'.

You know Slim music today gets on my nerves, it a shame that I can't find anything good on the radio or in the music stores.

I must agree!! It had a little less cross-over appeal than "Thriller". but it was better. It was more R&B driven. Cuts like "can't help it", "Working day and night" really set a tone for urban radio.

What do you think about these cats?? I got their anthology and .........whew!!!! I forgot what a hit machine they were!! Gamble & Huff were some dynamic writers!!

There's always a danger for a group to push one guy up front.

Yea but being a frontman for a group take a lot of work. Not to metion you as the frontman take a lot of abused if u suck.
 
You got a point. And if it is glaringly obvious who is the most talented, you gotta push him up front to sell records.
