I was a "Pre-Celebration" fan mostly (they were more funk driven). I did like some of their "pop" hits". But they Got too soft with "Joannna" and "Cherish".
Still no denying their successful run!! A lot of hits!

Ok true they lost of lot of funk after becoming crossover band. But they still rocked even with the white sounding type of music. I saw then in concert about 10 years ago, JT still got it.

I must agree!! It had a little less cross-over appeal than "Thriller". but it was better. It was more R&B driven. Cuts like "can't help it", "Working day and night" really set a tone for urban radio.
