Fellas trust me I got more booty with her than the law allows. It is in all your power to have a copy of SADE greatest hits from Sony. Trust me and also if you get a slim chance to see her in concerts do it. I did...it was the best concert I have ever been to.

My uncle used to listen all the time, so of course when I got grown I went out and got this

The Sky Is Crying: The History of Elmore James

not the same as those old LP's but I still get good listening.

Btw... Anybody plan on burning those old LP's to Cd, I will gladly pay for them.

What about sonny boy williamson, as a harmoica player, this dude is such an inspiration, a true blues musician background!

Bob James and Fourplay.

Bob James is a great fusion jazzman...if you neva heard his music peep this.

http://www.bobjames.com/

Bob James (born December 25, 1939) is a two-time Grammy Award-winning smooth jazz keyboardist, arranger and producer.
Bob James was an important figure in turning 1970s fusion jazz more mainstream. "Angela", the instrumental theme from the sitcom Taxi, is probably Bob James' most well-known work to date. For their first joint album release, One on One, Earl Klugh and Bob James received a Grammy award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance of 1981. James is the founding member of smooth jazz supergroup Fourplay and is a Yamaha Artist.
Very influenced by pop and movie music, James has often featured soloists, who add a jazz touch to his sound (most notably Grover Washington, Jr.). While best known for his fusion sound, James began In 1962, recording a bop-ish trio set for Mercury, and three years later his album for ESP was quite avant-garde, with electronic tapes used for effects. After a period with Sarah Vaughan (1965-1968), he became a studio musician, and by 1973 was arranging and working as a producer for CTI. In 1974, James recorded his first purely commercial effort as a leader; he later made big-selling albums for his own Tappan Zee label, Columbia, and Warner Bros., including collborations with Earl Klugh and David Sanborn.

With his song "Take Me To The Mardi Gras", Bob James secured his place in hip-hop history when the song was breakbeated by DJ Grandmaster Flash in the movie Wildstyle and then sampled by the World Class Wrecking Crew and even more famously by Run-DMC in their song "Peter Piper" on the Raising Hell release. "Take Me To The Mardi Gras" has been sampled in numerous hip-hop and downtempo tracks since "Peter Piper", including Eric B. & Rakim's "Don't Sweat The Technique", the Beastie Boys' "Hold It Now, Hit It" and by Timbaland, in Missy Elliot's "Work It". The aforementioned "Angela" was sampled in "Cabfare" by Souls of Mischief. Another song by Bob James that has also been frequently sampled by the hip-hop and electronic music community is "Nautilus", being sampled by artists such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock, A Tribe Called Quest, DJ Cam and Luke Vibert, and Ghostface Killah. Nautilus was also featured in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on fictional radio station Master Sounds 98.3. This trend came to a symbolic head in 2006 when many of James' works were mashed up with the vocals from Nas's God's Son to create Bob's Son. The mash-up was created by King_E.

Fourplay is a smooth jazz group in the United States. Their first album was released in 1991. The original members of the group were Bob James (keyboards), Lee Ritenour (guitars), Nathan East (bass), and Harvey Mason (drums). In 1998, Lee Ritenour left the group and chose Larry Carlton as his replacement.

The Brand New Heavies

In the early 1990s, London-based The Brand New Heavies created a musical movement by bringing soul music back to live instrumentation and impassioned vocals. Sassy, soulful and emotive vocalist NDea Davenport, guitarist Simon Bartholomew, drummer/keyboardist Jan Kinkaid and bassist Andrew Love Levy built their sound around the music they loved: classic American funk and soul music. The bands infectious grooves and inspiring songs -- including Never Stop, Stay This Way and Dream On Dreamer -- set in motion a 1990s musical revolution that permeates throughout the neo soul sound of today.

Pure genius. I was fortunate enough to see them on the 97 or 98 Smokin' Grooves tour. N'dea wore these bright orange pants that were so tight I thought she was going to lose circulation and pass out. When they did "Sometimes" I was so ecstatic, and not just because I was surrounded by 1,000 people who were smoking weed.

I miss Rick alot....

Mary Jane is still a classic.

It was such a terrible shame, he just got all that new attention because of the Dave Chapelle show. I was really looking forward to a big tour. Sometimes I forget about him, but his music has such power. Seeing that album cover makes me want to throw on Anthology right now.

I remeber oce I was in a packed car going to a party or a concert or something and this guy was telling a story about how the staff at a hotel treated him, he said it was cold blooded. Everybody in the car became Rick James and sang cold...BLOODED! Just so many great songs.
