Is that an official pic of Snake-eyes? or fanmade?

Supposedly official.

It was up at AICN earlier this morning (yeah, I know) but was yanked. They're supposed to be posting it later tonight, and it'll be featured in tomorrow's USA Today.

Either way, we'll know by tomorrow for sure.

Wow. That snake eyes looks terrible. I sort of wish they didn't do this movie after all. Looks fan made not very profesional at all. Oh nad Cth I live close to Concord.

I don't think it looks that bad. I guess I was expecting much worse since I heard some of the X-Men III guys were working on it. It could be better though. I could see it looking pretty cool if it gets dirtied up at some point on the movie - hopefully they do that. I don't want to see pristine costumes that stay that way through the whole movie.

my interest in this movie just dropped by half (if it's real that is)

Wow, I really don't know what to say about Snake Eyes. Hope it's not real.

Honest question: Why are some people upset about the SE costume? Save for a few minor details like the symbol on the shoulder, he looks like he stepped right out of the comic. So I'm confused.

Bad lighting really. It looks a BIT better here.

Some versions of Snake Eyes in the toys and comics have given him the Arashikage clan symbols on his costume and sword.

It's not too bad. It looks like Snake Eyes at least.

Aside from the lighting, I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with that.

It basically looks like 2nd version Snake Eyes from the 25th Anniversary line except with slightly different strap harness.

That's not spandex. It's more like a rubber body armor suit with fake muscles. And he's always had spandex-ish clothes.

I don't see anything wrong with it, actually. I don't completely understand some of the 'mixed' reactions' here.

It's a very literal translation of Snake Eyes..

you're right, I didn't see the lightened version, it makes a difference

The material lends itself to the stylized nature of the original costume/uniform. It may be the lighting, but I want to see more detail in the visor. Is it supposed to be metallic?

I'm just curious what it takes to please people. Now I know that someone will get their panties in a wad and fire back with some derrogatory comment that shows their maturity level, but I am asking an honest question here. When you look at movies like Spider-Man 1, everyone wondered why they had to change the look of the Green Goblin and they couldn't make him more faithful to the comics. Same with the X-Men not wearing their costumes, same with Juggernaut, same with the Punisher, same with Daredevil, etc. Now, we get an almost "Pulled from the comics" translation and still people are upset. I too was curious how they were going to pull off Snake Eyes because, let's face it, he's the one that stands out in G.I. Joe lore. What I mean by that most of the force is basic military and then there is this stealth ninja. I am glad to see that they are staying faithful. This picture alone has increased my faith in the movie 500%. Look at this side by side of the two and tell me how they screwed up. I am looking for honest intelligent conversation as to what could be better.

^if you read the rest of the thread you would have seen that I conceded the lightened version makes a difference.

The first picture looks like spandex and that put me off big time

Yeah, so I'm an idiot. Ha, said it first. Now you can't!!! :oldrazz:

Fanboys will never be satisfied. They have to find some way to bring this **** to life without people seriously laughing their asses off at it, and it's a very fine line when you're bringing comic books, cartoons and toys into live action.

I take back my "hope it's not real" because it does look much better with the lit up version. Just makes it easier to see the material.
