I have GTA III through IV but I never got San Andreas finished and only did part of IV. I really should play that more and get a taste of it before I get V.

I didn't find IV as fun as SA. I liked the crazy cartoonishness of SA better. As it is I don't think I'll be getting V until it hits the bargain bins.

But I don't see the fuss of the downtime. It's a few hours or so that most of us will be busy with anyway. Despite my proclamations to the otherwise.

I'm not going to lie. That teaser trailer was one of the best of all-time. Which reminds me, the day that teaser debuted, I remember the whole forum crashed for half the day. I don't think traffic here has ever gotten close to being that high since then.

When the first poster came out it crashed too. It announced the symbiote. The leaked CC footage crashed the servers too.

Oh yeah, the leaked footage that showed Venom in the mirror. And I also remember the whole "What's in his eye?" fiasco.

I think for the most part it was a joke, but some people took it soooooo seriously. (What's in the eye). And yeah, as well as the unfinished shots of Eddie turning into Venom in the bell tower.

For those of you that remember the big server migrations from back in the day (that seemed to be almost annual from 2005-2009), we know this is gonna be a dark time for all of us.

Do we migrate to the dreaded CS boards like old times? Should we schedule a massive Skype hangout? Should we wonder the boards aimlessly, telling people that "the end is nigh"?

I'm so confused...



Seriously though, we should do a community hang out somewhere during that time.
