so what is the new plot? This ignores all the other sequels, so..

Laurie is "not" a relative, yes?

was Myers presumed captured after the first film?

What happened to Dr. Loomis or any other supporting characters?

so is this meant to be a "final, final" sequel? Where could the possibly go after this, except to have copycat killers who are clearly not Michael?

We'll find out when the movie comes out but I'm inclined to say yes to Laurie not being related to Michael if they're ignoring all the previous sequels. As for Loomis, they might explain what happened to him and what he did after the first film but he's most assuredly dead considering Donald Pleasence died over 20 years ago.

I just saw the tv scenes of H20, including deleted and workprint scenes. I am sticking to my statement. Plus, the scene of Michael looking at Laurie's son with the KNB mask, that looked more scary. Damn you guys for not keeping it.

I'm just throwing this out there: yes, it doesn't hold up nowadays, yes its a mixed bag and we preferred something better (for example Halloween 2018), but I really really want a restoration of Halloween H20. With the original KNB scenes put back in as much as possible, with the original Ottman score brought back in, and perhaps more.

The KNB mask was awful, it was the worst looking one of the series easily. Even worse than Halloween 5s mask which still looked a little bit like the actual Myers mask. KNB one looked like some cheap knock off imo.

I disagree. The mask they were forced to make as a hybrid to the KNB and H6 masks was god awful. Even H6 was good, but the mask didn't fit this movie. KNB was a good mask and fit this movie that you realize. And that scene proved how good it was.



H20 needs to be restored and rescored, and with that mask.

Honestly, imo, at this point H20 is a lost cause. It's neither the best nor worst in the series. I feel like this film is going to be everything that H20 should've been. We have a better mask, a better actor portraying Michael and Laurie's story seems like it's going to have the appropriate weight behind it that was lacking with H20.

Not to mention even just from one trailer I can say this actually feels like it's Halloween whereas in H20 if not for a couple of pumpkins and characters stating it, you may have not ever known it was supposed to take place on said holiday.

Compared to the original the bottom one at least looks a little like it while the KNB mask looks nothing like it. If you light the bottom one as they did in the original it would look a lot better too while that KNB mask is a lost cause and looks like a cheap knock off you’d get at a supermarket or somewhere.

I know right? One of the man reasons the original is so untouchable the lighting was perfect and the mask looked great in that lighting.

Basically Binker thinks the KNB mask looks better than the mask in the 2nd pic (which Binker is entitled to think). But the mask in the 2nd pic at least somewhat represents the original Myers mask, whereas the KNB mask looks like something you’d buy from a cheap store that’s created their own knock off.

The second one was bad, end of story.

Not nowhere near as bad as the KNB mask. End of the day the 2nd mask is all in the lighting. But even without it it still looks way better than that KNB supermarket knock off version of a Myers mask.

I thought Wilber's mask was the best one out of the 32 they used in H20. IIRC, it was right before the nurse was killed during the opening scene.

Yeah the opening scene has him in the H6 mask. Which is one of my personal favorites and wish they would’ve used that throughout the film.

Well at least it would've felt like MM. Same thing with H5...if the mask was in the same zip code as the original, it would've made that one "better". And when I say better, I mean a 2 instead of a 0 out of 10.

Count me in as another that preferred the Wilbour H6 mask out of all the H20 masks. When I saw KNB mentioned and supported it restored, I didn't know we were talking about a specific mask, I automatically assumed death scenes :P

It's literally a featureless white blob with eye holes that make it look like it's meant for an alien to wear it.

There should be a certain blankness to Michael, but good lord...
