The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Hans Zimmer Score thread - Part 1

The lesson seems pretty deep but so perfect for Spider-Man. Webb seems to really get it.

I checked recently, and it used to be that when you hit 2000 posts, you can use a 100x100 but I think that may have changed.

Yeah.

Pretty sure you're right, I read that somewhere, too.

You need 2,000 post, and you need to be on the hype for 6 months. That's why I'm still stuck with a 75x75.:csad:

That sucks.

April 22nd seems so late

With the movie premiering the 10th and releasing overseas the 16th(18th?) it seems weird for it to be released after the movies' release. Or maybe not, but I always thought soundtracks were released a good bit before the film in most cases

It's not that late. It's less than a week after the film opens internationally and then about a week and a half before it opens in US/Canada. I'm thinking the entire score may leak prior to that date anyway.

Sooo....will be score be released on April 1st? Because that would be in 10 minutes from now.

Doesn't seem like it, according to our newst source.

Still, it's pretty much word against word, so I guess we'll see.

The Kendrick part at the start is not my cup of tea, but I quite like the rest. Good melody, and Alicia has a very nice voice.

Not a big fan of the Kendrick part, either.

I usually like him, but he didn't really fit into this particular song, very well.

He isn't in sync with the music. It sounds kinda choppy. But the rest I like. Nice lyrics, too.

See, I absolutely hate the beginning, but like it when the Alicia Keys kicks in...
Same. The opening segment is jarring to me, but Alicia's segment I like. Not surprised Webb confirmed this as the end credits song. I thought it would be. The lyrics and title are fitting.

I was wondering about that. Where did he say it was in the end credits?

I think people will like it more once they see the film afterward cause it'll make more sense when the credits are rolling
i've got it stuck in my head already

I think people who don't like it just...don't like it. It's not my cup of tea and I don't get why so many people here are offended that people don't like it. It just isn't appealing to my musical taste. So what?

I'm not a rapper fan. I'm a rock n roll fan, a D.I.Y. fan but...

...this, this was brilliant. I'm speechless. The lyrics are brilliant, both Kendrick's and Alicia's. Holy ****, and I twhipping ADORE both versions, but I'm favoring the guitar version a bit more.

I think it's brilliant, and you have no idea how much this track is getting exposured. Thwipping PITCHFORK has an article about it, it's on literally every website here in Brazil and holy cow.

It's brilliant. I'm speechless, I wish I could hold on to watch with the film but HOLY THWIP.

Out to get my lady, but first I need to get a download of this song. :woot:

I'm hoping that if Gwen dies, Hans will add more sadness to the moment than it already is,it will be cool and incredible sad at the same time, Horner did that and i'm expecting Hans to give his touch.

I can understand why people don't like the track. Musical taste and all that.

I'm a huge hip hop head and kendrick is pretty much my favorite going right now so I already knew i'd love this. And he is known for kinda rapping off beat, but it works so much for him.

yeah the song sounds tearble to me and I mean reable in Charles barkley voice

I cant weight to hear the score that hanz came up with for this movie though. I will probly only lisen to like 2 songs in till after I see the movie.

This is song is really great, but imo Kendricks verse is too outstanding! This guy is insane.

It's got a nice little buildup that might work well with the Rhino fight sequence. Seems to fit well with the idea of Spidey taking time to talk to the little kid dressed as him, before launching into battle.

Not mad about the intro, but it could work :)

I like the song. It has a youthful, energetic vibe. I'm not as keen about the rap intro, but that's only a matter of taste. Alicia's voice is smooth.

With Alicia's song and Hans onboard, this really propels it to feel like a true event film. A song attached to a film feels right, ala U2 and Seal with Batman Forever.

Well is this going to be during the film or in the post-credits? There is a Pharrell Williams song called "Here" that sounds perfect for the end-credits.

This song is not going to play during the movie. Cold War is the music that will be playing during the Rhino fight.

Goodness guys this isn't some B Movie **** like Resident Evil. They aren't going to have ****ing rap playing during a sequence of the movie.

That would polarize pretty much everyone over the age of 30-35 and ruin a key sequence of the movie for a huge amount of viewers. Y'all are crazy.
