The Healthy Hypesters Challenge

Try a group class if you hate the gym. I do a weights class, then cardio. It's more motivating if there's an instructor there who notices when you're too lazy to lift the barbell. Shame from potentially looking like the odd ****** out is also effective.

You know I actually was thinking about joining a yoga class which we have at our gym. But I most definitely will look like complete ****** even with my perfect Wi-fit skills. :o
Ofcourse next to that I have to do my cardio which I do most of the time with a friend what is making it slightly more bearable only less productive.

Do it. How long are your classes usually? The classes usually have a lot of moves you can do at home, 'cept someone's actually forcing you to stay for an hour.

You and your friend should have a race...on the treadmills. Heh.

I actually did thought it was around an hour.

haha, If it was a fare game definitely, but considering that she's like the most athletic person and me, yeah not really.

Well in those types of races, no one truly wins...unless it's a competition to see how can stay on the longest and not fall off :woot:

Good stuff! Never actually done yoga...is it all it's cracked up to be? Lot of calorie burn?

I know for sure there is, 'cause that's my body type haha. I've always been thin with a big chest, and so are a lot of my friends. It's a lot more common than you think.

Heck, I'm marrying a girl who's the same way. Like I said, nothing is impossible, but the numbers are lower than you would think.

Like Comicgirl said, a lot of times, the good looking skinny girls with big boobs, are packing the plastic.

When you get that low level of body fat to get the extreme ab definition and the cut musculature (for a woman) those models are sporting, it's hard to hold onto a full breast size.

But yeah, it can happen, y'all are what we guys like to call "blessed"
:D

I'm in peak week for my marathon training, 5 miles yesterday, 8 today, another 5 tomorrow and this Saturday, gulp, 20. Three weeks from Sunday though I'll be able to call myself a marathon runner! Already signed up for three other races this year, a 10 miler over Memorial Day that ends on the 50 yard line of Solider Field, the Chicago Rock n' Roll Half Marathon in August and the Chicago marathon in October.

The distance actually isn't that bad for long runs once I make it to the next level since I run with a group, helps to keep you motivated and moving when you've got a bunch of other people around you doing the same thing. I've really found running is much more mental than physical, your mind will betray you long before your legs do.

The President's Challenge is a program that encourages all Americans to make being active part of their everyday lives. No matter what your activity and fitness level, the President's Challenge can help motivate you to improve.

[we were "encouraged" to sign up for this at work cuz I work for the govt and they think if all of our employees sign up, it'll look good for us]

maybe we can start a hype group to help us stay motivated? thoughts?

I'm down 14lbs. 6 more to my goal :)

Hmm. Ok.

My goal is to lose 30 pounds, work more vegetables into my diet, and find an exercise program that works for me, pilates, hot yoga, ect.

Yes. Some mild exercise, and not eating a pint of Häagen-Dazs at night helps a great deal. Also, MUCH less soda.

25 since January Down, and 92 Days without a cigarette.
