That's actually what there doing with Iron Man 2 on Blu-Ray, apparently it'll have footage from Thor and Captain America as sneak peak footage

Well that would make sense to if it is added via BD-Live but it being exclusive would be a key factor. If the teaser gets released online then is available on the Blu-rays would be kind of a wasted chance for Sony to cash-in.

Well.... there was supposed to be some sort of Green Lantern preview on Clash of the Titans but I didnt get any! :(

They probably lied so that somebody would finally actually "want" to get Clash of the Titans, even if it wasn't for the movie itself:oldrazz:

These previews usually are 5 to 10 min deals that only show you a LITTLE... like concept art or such.

if its real footage it would go up on youtube anyway

Does anyone know the name or term for that type of TV that has that speed difference?

I used to know what it's called but I forget. I ask because my gf and I went over to a friend's house and were watching a Blu-ray of theirs(not to mention Ronin was on TV(HD channel) beforehand and every scene moved like it was exactly like a TV show, more accurately a ****ing soap opera. It was terrible. I forget what it's called but it's a speed/resolution difference that some TVs have.

Motion Flow is just a setting on HDTVs. You can turn it off in the settings menu on the TV.

I have that setting on my projector. It is called 120hz and it is supposed to reduce motion blur and judder. The standard for movies is 60hz so yes it can have an unnatural look. For my projector I have tested it out and it is has a low, medium, and high setting. The high setting is just awful it almost makes it look like the movie is being fast forwarded. The low and medium setting are much more acceptable. The feature only really works IMO with films shot on an actual handheld camera for example a film like Cloverfield. I was under the impression I would be able to use the feature for when I watch football games but it is only for 24fps material so basically just can use it for my Blu-ray collection not when I watch football games.

Thanks for the replies.

I remember my manager and I checked that option out at Best Buy during lunch one day. He was saying how it looks weird watching sports games with that turned on.

I need to let my other buddy know that he can turn it off or down if he wants. Him and his girlfriend didn't mind it but my gf and I were thinking wtf for the first 10-15 minutes of the film we were watching.

Spidey 1 & 2 are definitely mine. I held off on the trilogy pack because I didn't want Spidey 3.

hold up, Those films are coming to Bluray? How did I miss that. I held off as well bc what was released was bare bones. People told me they most likely wouldnt get an individual release till the next movie came out.

Oh I am so buying these, didnt realise they were coming out so soon, was expecting to wait until 2012 for them!

I didn't feel that this question deserved it's own thread so i'm asking this in here. Just a fun question to see what people's responses are.

If you had company over(family and/or friends)and were trying to convince them to upgrade to Blu-ray, what 5-10 movies that you own would be the ones to show off to them?

Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2
Minority Report
Star Trek
Zodiac
Up
Monsters, Inc.
Transformers
Sin City
No Country For Old Men

For me it would be

Transformers 1 and 2
District 9
Avatar
Watchmen
Star Trek
Beowulf
Terminator Salvation (picture is amazing)
X-Men 1 and 2.

Avatar
Transformers
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
Toy Story 1 or 2
Pirates of the Carribean

Nice responses so far. I haven't listed any yet because I need to beef up my collection and take serious note of which ones are some of the best.

Motion Flow is just a setting on HDTVs. You can turn it off in the settings menu on the TV.

I used to think the whole blu ray was supposed to do this because the first one I watched was transformers. Now it will happen sporadically . I'm probably the only one here that likes it and is trying to figure out why it doesnt do it so often :o
