HAH! I agree with you on Deadwood, but NOT the Girl Next Door. Thats the SOLE reason i freaked out when i heard he was cast as 47. He was by far NOT a "bad ass" in that film, sleezeball yes, but bad ass? HELL NO! However, he did give me some hope with his portrayal of Thomas Gabriel in Live Free or Die Hard.

He was such a badass in The Girl Next Door. By far one of the most likable "villians" I've ever seen in a movie(And I'm hesitant to call him a villian because he was so ****ing cool). Regardless of whether or not you call him a sleaze or a badass, inarguable is that he nailed the **** out of that part, and was amazing doing it.

Oh do NOT get me wrong, i thought he was fantastic in the film. I have no doubt in my mind that the guy can act, im just praying he wasnt trying to act "hard" in that film, because if he was, he came off sleezy, NOT hardcore. He did have some tough guy scenes in Live Free or Die Hard that i thought he portrayed really well.

No, I don't see it. Craig is the perfect Bond, Olyphant as 47 is something i'll wait and see before judging. How he is in the role all depends on when the movie comes out.

Yea im with you, although Craig WASNT the perfect Bond, he was completely the opposite, however with the "new look" of the franchise, i feel he is the ONLY person that could play this new bond per-se.

Craig had the perfect look of a secret agent, that's why I liked him in the role so much. He visioned how he wanted to portray 007 and how he wanted the movie to be. I htink it was the best Bond in the last few years.

Ok, saw Die Hard 4...it was AWESOME!!! Olyphant was a total badass.

Add to that the Hitman trailer playing with Die Hard and I am giddy as a schoolgirl...it looks fantastic!!!!

I believe in Olyphant 100% now. He may not be 110% identical to the game 47...but he's definately got the overall look and more important, teh attitude to pull it off...not to mention the script looks right out from the games...right down to reinacting some of the cinema scenes...I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Then again, its about a guy killing ppl,so that might be the right thing to do..I sort of got the anti-james bond vibe from trailer so it will be worth checking out. I never played the games,but the movie looks interesting.

I think it's really gonna have some brains to it (and guns of course) a deep conspiracy plot, the whole 'creation fo 47" thing...i can't wait.

I was gonna start my own thread on this until I noticed this thread... so I'll just post it here.

I LOVE the Hitman Trailer. It's awesome how they went with "Ave Maria" as the song, just like in Blood Money.

I don't really understand the CGI shots of him taking off his hood and people walking, did these take place in one of the games? The only ones I've played are Blood Money, Hitman 2, and some of Contracts, and I don't remember these scenes.

Then they show Hitman in front of the insignia crossing his Ballers across his chest. ****ING AWESOME. When they showed this part in the theater I heard a ton of people going like "Yeaa!" "Awesome!" "WTF, I didn't know they're making a movie of this!" It made me smile.

Then those 3 quick flashes of Olyphant... I don't know. He kinda has a smirk on his face, which I'd rather have him looking dead serious like he does in the games. But whatever. He kinda looks like the version of Hitman in the first game, though.

Then I liked the shot of him loading his Sniper and shooting, but the shooting of the Hitman symbol didn't really make sense. It's obviously edited from where he was sniping a person off, though. So that's no big deal.

Then the shot of Olyphant walking out shooting his Ballers is awesome. He doesn't look like Hitman in that part, but he still looks badass.

Then I liked that scene of him walking in a crowd of people, just staring at the ground. Looks like it came right from the game.

I like the glimpse we get of the aesthetic bottle, it's good to see that they are using alot of things that came straight from the game.

And it appears we are definately getting an origin like in Agent 47, which I never played, because it shows them tatooing his barcode on the back of his head. Awesome.

I don't understand the shot of the aisle with what looks like soldiers and a pope-looking person at all. At first I thought it was the Priest guy at the end of Agent 47 and the beginning of Hitman 2, but I don't know.

Then I love that shot of Olyphant aiming his Ballers and both ends of those halls, although it concerns me that he isn't wearing his trademark suit. Unless he's in disguise, but it just looks like he's wearing the undershirt of his suit. And Olyphant doesn't look like a Hitman at that part at all.

The chick looks hot, and that part with her laying her leg on the bed and Hitman sitting down by her looks like it came straight out of the video games. Although, I remember in a description of the movie I read not too long ago said that she has a slightly big role in the movie, where I wish it'd result in the chick going insane and trying to kill 47 before he gets a piece, but my guess is that she gets kidnapped and the shots of him shooting people down without his suit on is him leaving from the Hotel or wherever this scene was shot at trying to find her.

Then the shots of him sniping again and the explosions look cool, then the last shot with him sneaking up behind 2 guys in a bathroom with a silenced gun looks awesome. Now THAT looks like it came from the video game. I did notice something when I saw this scene in theaters, though. It looks like Hitman has 2 or 3 circular things right under his nose and on his cheeks by his nose, and I have no clue what they're there for. At first I thought they could have something to do with a training level that he was on, but then again he's wearing a suit which I don't believe he wore at the beginning of Agent 47. It could of even been my imagination, but I know I saw something unusual there.

And the way they had the 2 silenced pistols as the T is cool, they look more like Walther P99s instead of Ballers, though.

So yeah, just a pointless post but I felt like analyzing the trailer for some reason.
