I'm not even going to lie. I went into the theater thinking the film would be bad (like all other video game adaptations), but this was actually a decent video game adaptation. I enjoyed myself watching this film. The trailers really made this film look like some over-the-top action film, where Agent 47 would have a love interest and get the girl. It actually did a good job in staying faithful to the character. The action was fun, though some of the direction was weak. Over all, I enjoyed myself, and the film exceeded my expectations.

Rating:

3/4 stars

LastSunrise couldn't have been so wrong. Hopefully, he saw the film.
agreed:up:

I watched it today and I thought that it was a good action film, I would say a solid 8/10  Some of the action scenes were cut a bit short IMO but only because they were really good and I wanted to see more :woot: , Olyphant as 47 was great like I knew he would be, and OH MY was the naked woman hot, hot, hot! If you like action flicks check it out.

Any references to the games?

You see two kids playing one of the Hitman games. Also, my friend was mentioning something about "clones." I'm not the biggest fan of the games, so I didn't know what he was talking about.

Blargh, my plans to see it tonight didn't exactly materialize. I'm still hoping to see it on Friday though. One of my brothers is more interested in seeing Enchanted, but me and my other brother are more interested in Hitman. Well, we'll have all of tomorrow to sort it out, so here's hoping.

I enjoyed it enough, but Timothy Olyphant never really will look like 47 to me. He's got somewhat of a weak chin, whereas 47 basically has an Art Deco jawline. The action was quite off the chain though.

What the hell, I enjoyed it. There was a shaky cam fight I coulda done without near the end of the movie, but for the most part, it's stylish, fun, mostly faithful to the game, and while it has a few cliches, it's an enjoyable time at the movies. Just watch the movies for its own merit and not strictly for the critic reviews. A solid 7.5/10

I don't think so. As a reminder, was she the voice of the company who'd give him missions or am I thinking of someone else?

I think he's referring to a piece of music... "Ellens dritter gesang" by Franz Schubert. It was used in Hitman: Blood Money, and in most of the trailers for the movie.

I liked it. The interaction between Nika and 47 was entertaining and getting some LOL moments from the crowd.

7/10

"Ellens dritter gesang" wasn't in the film, at all. There was something similar to it during the opening titles.

I'm sure he is the guy fired over the FF2 leak. I'd have to see the movie to know whether he made any valid points.

Fox filed a lawsuit against the theater Memflix used to work for after his script review was released. Memflix was fired about a week later.

Did Ave Maria play anywhere in/after the film?

Yes it did, during the opening credits and it was great to have that in the film.

I thought this film, while not the best film in the world, was one of the best if not the best video-game to film adaptations. I thought there were a ton of references to the game. I mean even the "throw the coin to distract the guards" made an appearance(altho it was alot more natural in the film). There are some things in the film that id wish were in the game. I thought Olyphant really nailed the character. Some of his lines would have been sooo much better had he of had Batesons voice, but o well. Olyphant really came off as a cold distant individual without being bland. He really had layers to him. There were some moments when i really felt that "Yea, this guy IS 47". My only real complaint is that at some points i thought the film was a tad slow, and i thought there should have been a tad more violence(just a tad).

I went into the movie hoping for a good performance from Olyphant and really nothing else. Well i got that and then a little extra.

Id have to give the movie a 7.8 out of 10.

If you are a fan of the game, then i highly suggest giving it a look.

I thought it was pretty good, I had fun watching it. 7/10

terry, i happen to think tim has a very nice chin :o
