Justice League The Home Release Thread - Hopes & possible fears

I get that, but I definitely think something's up though. Multiple sources have said that the special effects teams have been working on the CGI for the movie even after the theatrical release. One of those sources being that special effects artist who leaked the deleted scenes a while ago. Why would they do that if they're not planning on some sort of alternate cut of the film? Maybe the studio was planning this from the start in order to get us to double dip on the home video release.

So hypothetically speaking, let's say that Warner Bros did decide to release Snyder's cut of the film, with Junkie even returning to re-score it.

Would you guys still buy it IF the only way to do so was to buy it as part of a package deal where it's attached with MOS and BvS to it as part of a "trilogy" set?

I'd buy Snyder's cut if it was attached with Catwoman and The Room, bruh I dont give a ****. They can package it with The Incredible Hulk and Avengers 2, and call it their sequel, if they want, I'd still buy the **** out of it.

Well, I just hope that IF Warner Bros do decide to release Snyder's cut in the future that we don't have to wait 20 years to see it like Superman fans had to for the Donner Cut of Superman 2 (which Donner didn't even finish filming and had to use a screen test, Lester's Footage, and rehash the time travel ending).

I'm buying them all, Whedon's Cut, Extended Cut, Snyder's cut.

I approve this message.

That's when you can walk away from the TV and just let it play until it gets to JL.

Thing is, guys. I dont doubt that an edited and mastered footage cut is there but what about the score? How realistic is it that Junkie XL fully scored the film? If not, what would they do about music?

Do like the fan edits and recycle some of the music from MOS, BvS, and WW. Although I am still upset the only time the MoS theme was used was when they entered the ship.

Thats gonna require an editor that'll need to take time and edit the music in appropriately though.

The question is: Who wouldn't buy it?

Ehh seems like a distinction without a difference to me. The movie was made too early, it came ahead of its time, for pop culture. Hence it being more embraced as time passes on.

Its weird how you felt the need to point out Snyder said it, as if he would publicly lie about something like this, when they are close professional friends.

I felt the need to clarify that Chris Nolan never said that Watchmen was ahead of its time, which I did.

In my mind 'A Zack Snyder film' is definitely in the top 10 worst things to happen to Superman, DC and superhero films in general. Thank god that's over although too bad it took 3 s*** fests of movies to make it happen.

I very much doubt we will see a Snyder cut.

If it was bad, WB would experience even more bad PR.

If it was good, WB would experience even more bad PR.

I can't see the financial rewards being worth the investment and the risk from their perspective.

I'll buy the Snyder cut in any form they want to release it, don't give a damn. But I won't buy the theatrical if it was on sale for a nickel.

They could sell the Snyder cut for $39.99 and people would buy it.

I doubt anyone at top level management cares about PR, they want to maximize profits that can be earned from this movie, to show it to investors and board members at the next Annual meeting.

Snyder's Cut (or Extended Cut) is just that.

Anyway...

I personally prefer the director' cut, but the extra sequences in the Ultimate Cut is sure very well made and interesting.

Ya making it too early is a praise, unless Nolan wanted Snyder to make a Night Owl solo, Rorschach solo, Dr Manhattan solos before teaming them up to deconstruct them etc.

was there any truth to the rumor that WB is actually doing some extra VFX work on the extended cut of JL?

Only thing I remember is that VFX guy from reddit saying that they were working on the Flash/Iris deleted scene.

If WB have paid them to work on certain scenes but then, they couldn't include those scenes in the theatrical Cut, as the scenes were not finished in time, but they had thought of releasing extended cut... then it makes sense that the studio would want the vfx companies to complete the work so that scenes can be included in the extended cut, as this does not involve them spending more money than they already have.
