So does anyone else here have horror movie marathons in the build up to or on Halloween?

Starting October 1st every year I watch one horror film per night for the whole month of October, I also post a classic horror movie quote on my facebook every day, been doing that for the last few years and it's quite enjoyable to live up the Halloween spirit.

I like to watch only horror movies all day, I will spice it up and watch halloween episodes of shows I like(still get the halloween feel with some laughs)

I am planing on for a 3rd year in a row getting a horror movie tattoo. I'm turn between the poster for NOES3 or the first Friday the 13th not sure which on to get.

I have both a Michael Myers and Jason portrait on me, they were two of my first tattoos and still two of my favorites, most people comment on those the most out of all of the work I have. If you're looking to get a large really intricate piece the poster for Dream Warriors sounds fantastic to me.

I was thinking of just covering my whole forearm with the Dream warriors poster I love the poster and it is one of my top 5 movies I just love every part of Dream warriors, maybe not so much heather langenkamps acting.

I have been very high on a Jason portait there are just to many to choose from lol evey time I get one I say to myself well maybe I like part 7 better maybe FvJ, or part 3 or part8 it's hard to choose unlike say Michael who every one knows nothing looks better than part1

I love it! The three movies I will definitely watch are Hocus Pocus, Treat r Treat, and The Monster Squad.

Every October I have a tradition of watching horror movies leading up to Halloween. In addition to that I read horror related literature, listen to Halloween themed music, play survival horror video games etc. Actually this year, for the month of September I've been having an X-Files marathon leading up to October. So here's my Halloween movie lineup for 2013.

I know this is early, but here's my Halloween movie lineup for 2013;

1. Fright Night (1985)
2. They Live
3. The Serpent and the Rainbow
4. Dead Alive
5. The Evil Dead (1981)
6. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
7. Friday the 13th (1980)
8. The Exorcist
9. Night of the Living Dead (1968)
10. Nosferatu
11. Cemetery Man
12. Return of the Living Dead
13. Re-Animator
14. Creepshow
15. An American Werewolf In London
16. The Legend of Hellhouse
17. Session 9
18. Jacob's Ladder
19. Halloween III: Season of the Witch
20. The Last Man on Earth
21. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1949)
22. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
23. Ernest Scared Stupid
24. Killer Klowns from Outer Space
25. Pumpkinhead
26. Creep
27. 30 Days of Night
28. The Lost Boys
29. Curse of the Demon
30. The Shining
31. Halloween (1978)

I love it! The three movies I will definitely watch are Hocus Pocus, Treat r Treat, and The Monster Squad.

I just recently picked up Trick R Treat I love that film, definitely the best Halloweeen related film aside from the first Halloween.

I need to rewatch trick r treat. Loved it the first time I seen it and jut havnt gone back to watch it. I think I may have to order that $4 blu ray off amazon.

Nice list!

I'd love to do 31 days but I know want I'm like I'd miss nights. I am going to do a few or so days lead up to Halloween and right now it's this but its subject to change:

28th: My Bloody Valentine (1981)
29th: Trick 'R Treat
30th: Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
31st "Halloween": Halloween 2 (1981)

^ I just watched F13 TFC for the gazillionth time the other night, made my wife watch it for the first time, she liked it just because of the fact Crispin Glover was in it, one of my favorites and definitely one of the best of the series.

Unfortunately I didn't watch it on blu-ray I'm so mad they didn't release the solo films previously unreleased, only way to get them is the boxset which I refuse to buy at the moment. The original My Bloody Valentine is imo one of the best underrated slashers as well, one of the best ever made.

That's a damn impressive list. Mine only has 4 movies on it so far. I think I'm going to take some advice from a poster on a horror board I'm a regular on and just put them all in a box and play bobbing for movies throughout October.

It's probably my favourite of the series long with Jason Lives.

Yeah I'm not buying that especially as there's no new extras and they don't even seem to care about trying to find the film for the uncut stuff.

The original MBV is definitely in my top 5 horrors seeing that uncut was like a revelation.

I have Mr. Boogedy and Bride of Boogedy on a dvd somewhere at home. That may get a watch again this year, as well.

Nothing guilty, just pure pleasure. Watching that film is one of my oldest holiday traditions.

Hocus Pocus is actually playing for two nights at a drive in theater nearby to where I live. Its in a double feature with Beetlejuice.

Their second screen is playing a double feature of Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. I may have to go two nights in a row.

Side Note: Vinessa Shaw, who plays Allison in Hocus Pocus went on to play a prostitute in Kubrick's Final film "Eye's Wide Shut." A very weird moment when it registered for me that it was the same actress.

I've made a list of 31 movies spanning the entire history of Horror that I should have seen, but haven't for whatever reason...but as new release Horror DVDs come out (and Carrie in theaters), I'll be cutting from my list to watch those.

Both of those double features sound insanely awesome, I must live in the worst area in the world, though this small theater has been playing cult hits lately it played Plan 9 from Outer Space last week and is playing Godzilla '54 tomorrow night which I plan to attend.

Don't you have to put on clown make up for that to count though? :funny:

no. i have sensitive skin. so i took a white nylon stocking, pulled it over my face, painted a clown face onto it, and then cut out the eye holes. i discovered, by pure accident, that it does make a great halloween costume. the tears in the stocking distort the clown face. i added a red fright wig and a two colored harlequin outfit that i got from rubies. it's my usual go-to halloween costume. but people were freaked out enough by it to ask me to attend local band gigs. i've scared the **** out of a number of townies.

Suddenly I question making my previous post.
