I've read that one. It actually wasn't as bad as you might think. It was certainly better than a lot of the scripts that came after it wound up being. I don't even want to know what the scripts with the "Fred Heads Cult" in them were like.

Do you happen to know where I could read some of these scripts?

I would agree with that.

He didn't even have proper dialogue. Just spewed out random one liners.

Trick or Treat Mutha F***a! Haha that was so bad and then he started karate kicking the hell out of Myers. So bad cause the guy who played Michael in that one was superb.

Brad Loree, yeah I thought he was good.

He also played a cop in one of the alternate endings to HR.

Yeah and some of those were awful lol there was one where it was a court case with Jason on trial
And one with Jason driving a car. I think one of the more common ideas was Freddy actually working at Camp Crystal Lake during the time Jason was still a kid.

Any chance Halloween gets one more try at a remake? I hate to think that Zombie's films will be the last time we see Michael Myers on canon.

Why remake? It is a lose-lose scenario either way. In one case, the director does a carbon copy of the original (Van Sant's Psycho,) which sucks, or the director tries something different and the fans complain because it is different (Zombie.)

They should drop Laurie Strode and try a film with original characters.

That ending where Busta Rhymes axed Michael in the face pissed me off to no end.

I liked Loree's Myers (haha, almost sounds like Laurie Myers), but I really wasn't a fan of the tighter mask that Resurrection sported. It didn't have as bad a problem until near the end, but I hated that you could see Michael's eyes so much. I loved the original, and things in like Halloween 5 when Jamie took his mask off, but showing his eyes some in H20 and a lot in Resurrection did nothing for me.

I may be wrong here, but I'm sure they used black makeup around Loree's eyes.

Not sure if they did that with any of the other Michael's before.

I like H20 quite a bit but I hate every different mask they used in that film EXCEPT the H6 mask which I believe was only used for one scene. The H8 mask was horrible, it's way too sculpted and clean looking, not that I loved RZ's Halloween masks but at least they looked somewhat closer to the original.

I think with the other movies, they shot it to where you don't even see his eyes.

What's your issue with a digibook? I personally could care less, all the infos there, the transfer, the extras maybe I just don't understand.

Blu-ray has some cool content, but I'm not a huge fan of the cover art.

I guess when I'm buying a blu-ray I'm buying it FOR the content on the disc, I do usually have opinions of the cover art (which the above for Halloween I actually love)but it never has any merit on my purchase decisions.

Nor me, but if that were the case then my collection would be half of what it is.

:funny:

Just saw that Jamie Lee Curtis is starring in a new Horror pilot for ABC Family (um...what???) that will be directed and produced by Steve Miner, who did Halloween: H2O. The Final Girls is about a group of young women who survive traumatic experiences and are brought together by Curtis to do some greater good.

Sounds cool and all...but I'm baffled by the idea of a Horror show on ABC Family.

Well not to turn the attention away from Halloween. But I finally watched Insidious last night (the first one) after putting it off (I find ghost possession films boring) but it was alright. Some stuff really bugged me though like how it went from creepy to ridiculous (the further), then to unitentionally funny (that little ghost boy dancing) moments to intentionally funny moments (the two ghost hunters), back to creepy in the further (which looked very cool except for Darth Maul) and then back to a stupid ending intended to set up a sequel (but hey that's horror). So yeah all in all I'd say it was alright much better than the other ghostly stuff.

I hope we get another remake, and a good one this time. Yeah, I know that's asking for too much but you never know.

I don't think you need to do a remake. You could do a film that stands on its own without it been a total origin of Myers film.

I really wish they'd have gotten the chance to make Halloween 3D that the writer and director of My Bloody Valentine wanted to do. They were going to return Myers to his roots as the Shape and have it been set in a mental institute with Tom Atkins as the main doctor.

My sister watched some shows on that channel. "Family" is really pushing it. Every family on that show is Rob Zombie-esque. Complete trash doing the worst things... just a PG version.

I never understood why they couldn't mimic the '78 mask exactly.

H1 - great mask. Still sends chills.
H2 - I've read that Dick Warlock wore the H1 mask. He mentioned it didn't look the same due to age and wear and tear.
H4 - different mask altogether. More of "ghostly" feel in my opinion. Maybe that's what they were going for since he was back from the dead, supposedly.
H5 - Worst mask of them all. Looks like a mix of a scarecrow and Mr. Burns.
H6 - Chubby Michael Myers. Was hard to take seriously throughout the film.
H20 - We all know how many masks were used (even a CGI mask), but the best one was the opening when the nurse is killed. That mask looked as close to the original as I've seen.
H8 - Save the eyebrow look, this is my second favorite mask. I bought this one about 6-7 years ago.
Zombie H1 - crap
Zombie H2 - crap

Halloween 3D actually sounded awesome, with the inclusion of Tom Atkins it would be a fanboys dream, it's too bad it never happened.

To be honest I don't see anyone reviving Halloween anytime soon, it's really going to take the right team behind it to make it relevant again after the bad taste Zombie left in the GA's mouth.
