Even the original part 2 had some lame parts. My biggest problems were that...
There seemed like there was only 6 people in a major hospital.
Two of the most perfect shots ever taken on film.
How small is MM supposed to be that he's mistaken for a trick or treater?
I still like it but it did have its issues. IMO the worst Halloween movie was part 5. At least part 4 tried to be scary but 5 started all the stupid humor and I think I remember him going on a date. I blame the Freddy fad, stupid humor in horror, but its still where Halloween took a turn for the worse.
I watched Brides of Dracula yesterday and thought it was downright awesome. Dracula isn't in it but the story, acting and pace are top notch. IMO its the third best vampire film by Hammer. Right up there with Horror of Dracula and Twins of Evil.
Well, I kinda agree with you on there being so few people in the hospital. Although I don't know how "major" it was supposed to be. I got the impression that Haddonfield Illinois was supposed to be a fairly small town.
But when was Michael Myers ever mistaken for a trick-or-treater?
As for him going on a date in Part 5. People forget that Myers isn't the braindead ****** Jason Voorhees is. He's a clever, cunning killer. He was using Jamie's sister's friend to get to Jamie. It's not like he was trying to get laid or anything. What I didn't like about Part 5 was the whole psychic link between Michael & Jamie, and the whole "Man In Black" angle. I also didn't like the humorous tone they began using.
