This ****ing movie! Soooooo damn awesome. Haven't seen a great inventive horror/horror comedy like this since Cabin In The Woods. Pays great homage to 80's slashers, specifically Friday the 13th. Great retro score, great music and cliches and so well done and funny. And clever and even has some great touching moments.

A must watch, it comes out on blu ray next week. I am definitely buying it to add to my collection, and will be re-watching it right away many times. Can't say enough good things about this one.

You had me excited then you mentioned Cabin in the Woods which I thought was massively overrated. Still I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoy The Final Girls.

Even if you didn't like Cabin I think you'll enjoy this. Here's the trailer if you or anyone is interested.

Making a list, anyone knows of films where the killed or threat appears from doors or windows when the protagonists come to close to them? Ones i can remember are the Friday the 13th reboot and Saw II.

friday the 13 part 7, by the end, to the b**chy blonde (not the protagonist, but still...).

Not a one. That's what I was realizing when Christopher Lee passed. I didn't have a single Horror film we grew up on.

Check your mail on Monday.....:oldrazz:

I haven't watched any horror films this month. :csad:

*hangs head in shame*

 @Broseph

That's the best one. Still sends a shiver down my spine watching it.

Yeah it's still creepy to me this day. It's just so, real. It's scary.

Today I watched DRACULA (1979) starring Frank Langella, Laurence Olivier, Donald Pleasence, and Kate Nelligan.

This version was based on the stage play that Langella was starring in on Broadway at the time.

A side note......I saw this at the theater when it was released. I later watched the VHS tape several times....but hadn't seen it in decades. I had bought the DVD several years ago, but hadn't watched it until today. As I was watching it....I felt something was off....I thought that they had done a terrible transference to disc....the colors were all washed out. There are many times where it looks like a black and white movie when I remember there being bright colors. Well....I checked IMDB, and apparently director John Badham had wanted to film it in B/W originally but wasn't allowed to....so when it was being prepared for DVD he had the colors washed out to get this effect. I also watched it with Badham's commentary....and in it he mentions this and how after the studio wouldn't let him do it in B/W he decided to make it with vibrant colors instead. The difference is unsettling for someone who is used to the vibrant color. So....if you didn't watch this in the theaters on original release or don't have the tape.....the version you are watching is a changed version.

Just watched Wilderness(2006) and I thought it was good, nothing outstanding but I enjoyed it.

Happy Halloween guys and gals.

Happy Halloween guys! Starting my day off with Trick R Treat. Then on to some others, I know I'm doing Halloween 1&2 (originals) later for sure. And then watching Ash vs Evil Dead as well.

Happy Halloween, had a disappointing one tbh, edited my new horror film today at my Brothers house and I'm not happy with how it turned out, then the upload to YouTube failed for some reason. Got back to my house and seen that I'd missed a few Trick or Treaters, then I only got about a handful. Only thing I have enjoyed today is watching my favourite horror film Halloween on the beautiful 35th anniversary Blu Ray.

Kane where's the original Halloween? It's a must.

I still haven't watched my directors cut of Nightbreed yet

Had myself a Child's Play marathon here a few weeks ago. Curse Of Chucky was better than Bride/Seed, but it still lacked something the first three had.
