I have a bunch of other Hammer productions but only listed the horror movies.

Hey Varth......do you have any Hammer films?

Not a one. That's what I was realizing when Christopher Lee passed. I didn't have a single Horror film we grew up on.

The original versions of Child's Play and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are on TV tonight. Haven't seen either.

I'm ready for a new Child's Play film lol.

"Hi, I'm Chucky, wanna play?"

I saw Tales of Halloween today and it was nothing more than a pale imitation of Trick R Treat. It wasn't straight out bad but it spend most of the movie playing it off as a joke.

Whilst Tales of Halloween wasn't great I wish people would stop saying its a poor imattaipm of Trick 'r Treat when it's more comparable to Creepshow. Outside of the anthology and Halloween theme it wasn't made anything like Trick 'r Treat. It took the Creepshow mild of different segments been directed by different filmmakers aswell as featuring some horror filmmakers (i.e. Landis, Dante, Green etc) on screen.

Tales of Halloween is an anthology that tries to tie it together which is like Trick R Treat while Creepshow has completely separate segments.

Tales of Hallowen barely tied in though unlike Trick 'r Treat. As I said also it was more like Creepshow in that each segment had a different director. I certainly don't think they in anyway ripped off Trick 'r Treat especially after listening to Axelle Carolyn on the movie crypt podcast. She basically said to make a movie with her friends and because she loves Halloween so much they decided to centre it around the holiday.

What's The Gorgon like?

It's been decades since I saw it, so I don't remember specifics. I bought the DVD a couple of years ago....I need to watch it soon.

Today I watched Jesse Franco's COUNT DRACULA (1970) starring Christopher Lee, Herbert Lom, and Klaus Kinski.

Although there are some problems with the movie, I highly recommend it. There are scenes from the book done for the first (and in some cases probably the only) time. Chris appears as the Dracula from the novel....when he first appears he is old and grey haired, and he grows younger as the movie progresses and drinks blood. He also has the bushy moustache. There is the scene of him giving his three brides a baby to feast on instead of Harker (and depending upon the DVD or tape you find of it....it may include the scene where he lets the wolves attack the mother of the baby)....and for the first time on film, the American character Quincy Morris appears.

^ Sounds interesting. Is Kinski playing Renfield?

The DVD I have of it is in fullscreen, doesn't have the mother and wolves scene, but does have a nice interview with Jesse Franco and bit with Christopher Lee reading exerpts from the novel.

-Killer Klowns from Outer Space
-Hellraiser
-Curse of Chucky
-Wes Craven's New Nightmare
-Trick R Treat
Few other terrible Horror films I watched on Netflix that I cant remember the names due to them being that bad lol

The original filmmakers returned with a new one last year. It was recently put on netflix instant. I've heard good things but I haven't seen it yet myself.

Curse of Chucky was brilliant! I loved it, its without a doubt the best Chucky film since Child's Play 1 & 2 IMO.

They brought back the true horror element that was replaced by comedy in the later movies. I loved how it was made as well. Is it a sequel? Is it a remake? no spoilers here. But you do find out which it is during the movie! I recommend it indeed.

Who else is going to see the Lugosi Dracula this evening at a theater? Pretty pumped about it.

I saw it Sunday and loved it. Getting to see one cinema's best villains on the big screen? I'll be there. Speaking of which, Halloween is tomorrow. Aw yeah.

Watching Pet Sematary on Sundance now. Still one of my favorites. It was the first Stephen King movie I ever saw in the theater.

Unfortunately my local theaters aren't playing it. Closest one is about 5 hours away. Bummer. Lugosi Dracula on the big screen tonight was awesome! :woot:
