The Horror Thread - Part 6

Clown is pretty standard but with a few great f****d up moments.

It's almost 20 years since SCREAM was released (December is the month which was an odd month for it) and that is unreal. I'll need to watch it this month.

Good to see Billy, Stu and Sidney have been doing the rounds at horror cons this year.

20 years???

****, I feel old.

I liked Clown because it was so ridiculous. Not too many movies have a kid get decapitated by a saw blade.

Yo, this just in, Young Frankenstein will be playing tomorrow night (ONE NIGHT ONLY) at your local Fathom Events theater.

Just watched My Soul to Take for day four of the marathon.

Yeah, it's a mess. There's some interesting ideas but the whole thing comes off half assed and I feel like the dialogue was way too clunky for these supposed 16 year olds. Not one of Craven's finest.

My horror movie for today was this chilling classic;

Watching Trilogy of Terror as part as my 31 Days of Horror Anthologys.

The same director that did Superman and Goonies. Richard Donner rules.

Was OMEN II any good? I saw parts of it as a kid and it freaked me out.

Not to mention the Lethal Weapon movies.

Yeah it was pretty good actually. Some really great creepy scenes, and the teen who plays Damien does a good job, transitioning where Damien finds out who he really is, and at first hating it and then coming to love it and embrace it.

Better than part 3, which is only worth watching for Sam Neill.

That's always baffled me, how do you go from the Omen to Superman? That would never happen now, there'd have to be a (fair) few steps in between :funny:

I think the only person that compares these days is James Wan.

Furious 7, The Conjuring 2 and then Aquaman.

Also Jon Watts

Clown and Cop Car to Spider-Man

What about Sam Raimi, James Gunn, Jon Watts, Scott Derrickson?

Yeah. Seems like it's more common than we think.

Watched Final Destination 3 for day five.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead was the reason. It's actually quite decent and I had only seen the first two way back when they came out.

I haven't seen any of them yet, everytime I've thought about it I've ended up watching something else instead, gonna have to get around to them eventually.

Watched A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and 3 the night before last, and Nightmare 4,5 (and the 3D portion of 6 because I don't care about the whole film), and New Nightmare last night. Had already watched Nightmare last week, and Freddy vs. Jason during my Friday the 13th marathon last month. Don't plan to revisit the remake as it's just ok.

I actually think that's the best of the series, they really captured a good atmosphere in that one. Especially in the opening with the roller coaster.
