No, I enjoyed the remake of House of Wax as well.

Never saw that remake. Paris Hilton kind of turned me off to it back then. To be honest, never saw the original either though.

I've always had a huge love of the paranormal due to personal experiences. Anyways some of my favorite films to watch in the month of October are listed below and not all of them are really scary but have the feel of this time of year and plus being stuff I enjoyed as a kid that brings back a lot great memories.
In no particular order...

1. The Ghostbusters ( fav movie of mine period)
2. Hocus Pocus ( childhood fav)
3. The Frightners ( deserved a sequel or tv spin off )
4. Sleepy Hollow
5. Dracula ( both Gary Oldman and Bela Legousi)
6. Silver Bullet
7. Halloween ( original)- also Halloween 2,6, h20
8. Trick or Treat
9. Evil Dead 2
10. Demon Knights

I watched the Goosebumps movie tonight, give I'm a big kid who loves anything horror (including family fun horror films) my wife got me it as a birthday gift. Took me back to my childhood as I was a huge fan of the show as a kid (didn't read the books mind). Anyway we watched it tonight, very fun, loved it, even my wife enjoyed it. Would put it with films like Hocus Pocus where although they're family films they're damn entertaining especially this time of year.

My three movies for the evening.

My thoughts on it too. I liked the Vincent Price original.

I love the original. But the remake is good you guys should check it out. Paris is whatever in it honestly. Not really an annoyance and she dies so that's a plus haha. She's not the star. I think too many people let her being in the film be a reason not to watch it.

I'm watching this classic.

Got the Thing Collectiors Edition in the Mail today. Damn I so loved this movie but its been awhile since I saw it. I needed to add it to my collection cause I didn't have it yet probably one of my favorite horror movies of the 80s still lives up to it today.

So a family member bought me the 4-disc Collector's Edition of Tales of Halloween. Haven't seen it yet, so no idea if I'll even like it or not. However, if anyone is interested, apparently there is like 8 extra shorts included on one of the extra discs, so if anyone wants me to give a run down of those, I'll probably do that in a couple days.

I just watched THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS (1967).....I saw this first in the early 1970's when it was shown on network TV. I hadn't seen it since until this morning. I saw it on TCMs ON DEMAND. Ron Perlman introduced the movie. He said that on it's original release, the studio edited out 19 minutes and had added a cartoon opening before the credits, but that this was the original edit. It having been so long since I originally saw it, I remembered parts, but couldn't tell if there were any differences. For those that didn't know, this is a comedy vampire movie. It's actually low on horror.

Wow, you'll have to let me know your thoughts after,
Might have to get this 4 disc version, is it region locked?

Region Free. However, if you aren't as interested in all 4 discs, one being a DVD copy and one being a copy of the soundtrack, there's a German Blu Ray special edition release coming pretty soon. I think it's just two Blu Rays, the film and features, and is running like $15, versus the 34.99 for the domestic 4-disc. Plus currently the 4-disc is only on the ToH website, and I think the German release is on Amazon. However I don't know what region the German release is.

So...who would've thought Ouija 2 would be the best recieved movie this weekend huh?...

I want to say I'm surprised, but it's by Mike Flanagan and it looks like they completely got rid of anything that was connected to the first s***** movie.

Not me. I knew itd be good since it was by Flanagan

well, i havent seen Hush, so i didnt know what to expect, and usually horror sequels are bad and i thought there was no way they could make this work, i was wrong, apparently, looking forward to seeing it, already has been a great year for horror between Conjuring 2, Don't Breathe and Lights Out.
