I hope the two movies are better than the book
First film dropped so much. Still what amazes me about CF... they dropped so little, and even managed to salvage some of the dropped aspects of the first film.I'm still disappointed they dropped a certain aspect of the first book in regards to Peeta. Don't know why they wouldn't exploit it especially with this teaser now.
Yes... Why not? As we can clearly see, not everyone has read the books. Are we actually expected to follow spoiler rules on this forum for an adaptation of a widely-read book?

his leg?
Yep.
i would assume a lot of that had to do with budget constraints and how expensive it would be to CGI it. At the time I don't think anyone knew it'd become the blockbuster franchise is has become, so I can see why it was omitted. I can deal with it.
That's understandable.
I actually thought they'd have him wear some sort of cast and clean it up with CGI to make it more obvious how fake it was. At least to make it look like something you probably wouldn't see in our world anyway.
So, it makes me disappointed how it won't be used for Peeta's brainwashing and torture. Made me feel really sorry for him.
on the bright side (well not exactly for peeta) maybe this means they will come up with even better ways to brainwash and torture peeta and johanna. it sounds morbid, but i look forward to seeing it. just because it's so integral to both characters
.Yup, they successfully brainwash him via torture and other methods
Theater chains are getting the Mockingjay: Part 1 teaser under the code name Seashore, in an attempt to avoid piracy. So expect it to be on prints for Transformers 4 or probably Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Agreed.
I thought it ended up making him more interesting than Katniss, especially given how helpless and useless she started to feel once things became much bigger than just the games.
I think it'll make the character more appealing too when you look at how useless he comes off in the films. I mean, they added that kill at the start of the games in the last film to help him out.
lencho we are totally on the same page here![]()
Honestly they have pretty much emasculated Peeta. He's a very likable guy but he's pretty much Katniss' love interest. She's the man here, she saves him from attacks in the second film, she takes the risks and decisions, and he's a liability to her who had to be constantly saved and looked after.
I doubt Peeta could be more interesting than Katniss.
is this different from the teaser on youtube?
Well, he comes off a little bit more smarter than her. At least when it comes to tactics. They kinda touch upon it in the films in regards to his relationship with Haymitch and how their plan was to make her the more likable one of the pair (at least to the people and sponsors watching).
He might be smarter than her that way, she's definitely more fool-hardy but she's the braver of the two, more courageous and more heroic.
It is interesting they chose to portray it this way.
