Christ, zanos is still complaining?
I grew up on Harry Potter books/films, LOTR films and became a huge fan of those.
My initial thoughts was this Hunger Games series was going to be very Twilight like so I must avoid, but reviews from Rotten Tomatoes (15 so far) have it at 100% and are saying this franchise will have a long future.

Probably will give this one a chance...
Are the books any good? Or are they cheesy and too girly like Twilight? I never read Twilight books, but is Hunger Games more appealing to someone who enjoys Potter?
I think the Hunger Games books are better written than the Twilight ones (I couldn't finish them), but it's still too girly (Harry Potter is like Steinbeck next to them).
In short, Hunger Games is like a Battle Royale for girls which is a shame because there's some really good ideas like the hunger theme, the whole districts idea...
But I'm a girl, I like romance, I liked a lot the character of Peeta and I know I'll see the film for him just like I read the 3 books
Anyway I think you should try reading them. It's really easy to read and you may like them.
EXCLUSIVE: Crazy speculation that Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games could gross $125 million its opening 3-day weekend beginning this Friday is more and more looking like reality. Even inside-the-studio estimates have cautiously been raised from $75M to $95+M. Already, the hotly anticipated film has pre-sold over a whopping 1 million tickets on big online sellers Fandango and Movietickets.com combined. Yesterday, the pic sold 83,000 tickets alone on Fandango. This movie based on the bestselling trilogy of novels by Suzanne Collins has turned Twilight-like huge for Lionsgate which was badly in need of a franchise. But unlike Twilight which attracted predominantly a female audience, The Hunger Games could attract younger males as well as younger and older females. Exactly how much the studio can gross for the first weekend depends on how many screenings each theater can pack into 72 hours by finding enough staff willing to work the extra hours and keep the pic running continuously. Tracking continues to amaze Hollywood which knows a blockbuster like this is great for the industry.
I don't get why so many guys are afraid of romance. I hate that tough guy mentality so much.
Please don't cross $125 million.
Why not?
