Except that the jacket looks spot on, it looking plasticy is prolly to show that it has thermal properties, and alot of times actors do their own stunts. Tom Cruise for example does pretty much every stunt on an action film he is involved in.

please dont use Cruise as an example. Cruise and Chan are IMO the only two actors in hollywood that did dangeruous stunts.real stunts. noone comes close to them .

you know running through a forest is to an actor a stunt. but to us a stunt is something like jumping through a window.

of course she will do a lot of stuff herself. but everytime there will be a small chance of danger they will use a stuntdouble.

I just finished the first book and I'm reading the seccond book now...they are awesome. I'm really enjoying them.

So yes, definitely read them if you get the chance.

Well you generalized and said every actor so I just said the first actor that came to mind that I know does his own stunts.

she's also taking archery classes and whatnot, which I appreciate more than anything. Katniss has to know how to use a bow and arrow, not just use stunt doubles who can

I guess I'm going to have to check out this series. I've thought about it multiple times, but haven't got around to it. I'l pick them up while waiting for A Dance with Dragons. Any books this compares to for frame of reference on what I'm getting into?

was there ever an example where an actor didnt take archery classes? was there ever a movie where a stunt double was using the guns,bow,sword in close ups?

No but had you read the book you would know that Archery is Katniss's single best attribute. So Lawrence learning and being so profficent with a bow is a warm welcome and a nice sign that she is taking the role seriously.

Lionsgate and the filmmakers of The Hunger Games have announced that iconic musician and actor Lenny Kravitz (Precious) has been cast in the role of Cinna in the adaptation of Suzanne Collins' worldwide smash hit novel.

Though he's a mild mannered first time stylist, the designs he creates, such as the "Girl On Fire" costume for the tributes' live televised debut, are show-stopping. With odds being set, wagers being placed, and wealthy benefactors able to occasionally intervene in the games, a high public profile is tantamount to a huge advantage for any contestant entering the arena. The stunning and unique designs Cinna creates for Katniss define her public identity, and in an all too real way, could also contribute to her very survival.

In The Hunger Games, every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
