PopWrap: Were you familiar with the books before this?
Wes: I was familiar with the books, but I hadnt read them. However, I have now and I totally can see why everyones addicted to them, theyre so good.
PW: What was it about Seneca Crane that made him stand out to you?
Wes: You know, I can't really talk about the script because he's a little bit different in it then he is in the books. But he is absolutely an interesting character, very conflicted I like playing that. Deciding what choices are good or bad and [in turn] what that means for him.
PW: Although you can't talk specifics, what was it about the script that appealed to you?
Wes: Its going to be very cool visually and I think its such an original idea. Its different from all the comic book movies. Not to knock them, but "The Hunger Games" just has a whole different vibe to them. I think the fans are going to love it.

Stanley Tucci is the latest name to join director Gary Ross' adaptation of the bestselling Suzanne Collins novel, The Hunger Games.
Targeted for a PG-13 rating, the film is based on the young adult novel and tells the tale of a dystopic future and the annual "Hunger Games," a fight to the death on live television. Tucci will play Casesar Flickerman, a part that is officially described by the studio as follows.
Caesar Flickerman is utterly familiar to all the citizens of Panem as the l host of the Hunger Games. Known for his outrageous appearance and buoyant personality, his upbeat interviews of the 24 tributes – a boy and a girl from each of the country’s 12 districts – are presented on every television in the nation. He is famous for turning any conversation around to the positive and finding humor in even the most dire circumstances.
Tucci joins the ever-growing cast that already includes Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Elizabeth Banks, Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Jack Quaid, Leven Rambin, Willow Shields, Paula Malcomson, Ian Nelson, Kalia Prescott, Ethan Jamieson, Tara Macken, Chris Mark, Jacqueline Emerson, Ashton Moio, Kara Petersen, Sam Ly, Leigha Hancock, Samuel Tan, Mackenzie Lintz, Imanol Yepez-Frias and Annie Thurman.
Tucci, who appeared last year in Burlesque and Easy A and will next be featured in Captain America: The First Avenger and the upcoming Jack the Giant Killer.
The Hunger Games is set for release on March 23, 2012.

Woody Harrelson has just joined the cast of director Gary Ross' adaptation of the bestselling Suzanne Collins novel, The Hunger Games, according to a story at The Hollywood Reporter.
Targeted for a PG-13 rating, the film is based on the young adult novel and tells the tale of a dystopic future and the annual "Hunger Games," a fight to the death on live television. Harrelson will play the role of Haymitch Abernathy, mentor to the protagonist, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).
Harrelson joins the ever-growing cast that also includes Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Elizabeth Banks, Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Jack Quaid, Leven Rambin, Willow Shields, Paula Malcomson, Ian Nelson, Kalia Prescott, Ethan Jamieson, Tara Macken, Chris Mark, Jacqueline Emerson, Ashton Moio, Kara Petersen, Sam Ly, Leigha Hancock, Samuel Tan, Mackenzie Lintz, Imanol Yepez-Frias, Annie Thurman and Stanley Tucci.
Harrelson has appeared in recent years in blockbuster films like 2012 and Zombieland. He'll soon have roles in both Rampart and Friends With Benefits.
