The Hype Confession thread

I don't like Most Marvel Superhero.

I think Spiderman, Hulk and the x-men that's about all I like.

I'm a plague when it comes to defective men. Every man that has been interested in me in the past year has either tried or threatened suicide. I feel like I can't depend on anyone to stick around unless I give them everything they want and pretend to be a completely different person. I feel like it's my fault that they're always wanting to off themselves. End confession.

-I am very worried i am not going to get a job in the art field and not be able to pay off my loans.
-I have two jobs that together equal 21 hours a week and I hate them both but need them to live.
-i cry easy with movies, especially eternal sunshine.
-I am very unhappy with my life and am very sad
-I spend a lot of time alone in my room feeling more and more down
-I would give anything to be with my someone and the girl i like now is either progressing rediculously slow or not at all.....that i'm aware of.
-My hair is receding and i'm 23
-used to steal
-feel very embarrassed about having marvel things and action figures around my room when friends and girls come over.
-find the female body the most beautiful thing in the world
-recently started drinking and finding out that it actually doesn't make me feel any better.
-2008 was the worst year of my life

there is probably more but my mind is blanking right now, feels kinda good gettin it out though.

I hate DC comics. The only thing I like out of DC is Watchmen.

Damn my curiousity...click at your own risk...

I saw Twilight

BUT IN MY DEFENSE I had kickboxing practice before I did...that.

That is probably one of the things that increases my chances of liking a guy. Seriously, if you find a chick in to comics and have an impressive display of stuff you're going to get major points. I'm envious of my best friend every time I enter his apartment. You should mark that one thing off your list at least.

^Yeah, but unfortunatly I've never actually met a girl into comics...so I agree with him that it having your action figures and **** out can be VERY embarrassing. :csad:

yea, it hasn't ever been a problem problem but i still feel awkward. You enter my room and you first see a stack of Star Wars figures, a ninja turtle poster with the old school 80's figures hanging off of it and a big shelving unit lined with Marvel Legends figures, then my desk has figures of homer simpson, the joker, edward scissorhands, and the white power ranger.
I also have yet to meet a girl who was into any of it, i guess i just feel that they won't think of me as a mature adult. i'm not gonna change cause i enjoy it but it is still in the back of my mind all the time.

I once had a girl cashier ring me out at a kmart when i was buying some figures and she actually said 'these aren't for you are they?'
made me so mad

I guess I can understand that. I'm always a little wary to have people to my house too, especially girls, because they seem more judgmental and before you even open my door I have Spidey curtains and an old school Wolverine Bandanna nailed to the door. A whole wall dedicated to the Joker, yo-yo's and toys. It's a bit excessive and it doesn't help that I still live with my parents. I guess I don't feel very adult like either.

i live with my parents :(

but, at least they live on the first floor and i live on the second. we just share bathroom and kitchen

Ha! Be proud of them brother. I've got a pretty nerdy room; complete with transformer figures and comic posters. All my friends know about them and they'd never laugh

A lot of girls will find that to be a plus, Liquidnight. When I first starting dating Spoons, I had no idea that new comic books were even being released. I thought it was so cute that he collected them and action figures, etc. He even got ME into reading comics

I have to agree with everyone else, I'm proud of my action figures, comics and random comic/movie posters. I always show them off to my friends whenever I add something new to the collection. All the girls I have ever showed laugh and say I'm a dork but find it attractive. Be proud of your collections.

I don't read any new comic books, but I may start getting into it again with Green Lantern. I've been interested in reading that since Sinestro Corp War, but never got a chance to start reading it.

I stopped collecting figures 3 years ago. When money is tight and you have 3 major collections, some have to go. Funny thing is, my collections of 3 years ago have pretty much all phased out (except comics, where I read GNs of older stuff). But, DVDs are my big obsession anymore. I buy so many!

Now would be a good time to get into GL. This summer is going to be nuts ;)

I once drew a nob and wrote "I love cock" on my friends head when he passed out from being pissed! :hehe:

I skimmed through a newer issue in the Red Lantern arc in a book store yesterday, and I liked what I saw. I want to get both Sinestro Corps GNs and get the issues after.
