What's the difference between a dictionary and an encyclopedia?
a dictionary gives you the definitions of words. An encyclopedia tells you who people are and explains concepts and events and animal details and s***.

but mine contains no overt insult, aside from the subtle insult of actually taking the time to explain such an obvious rudimentary distinction to a grown person. :(

*whistle innocently* wasn't me :gg:

I got some entries here...

Bruce Campbell - The world's greatest American-born B movie actor (born June 22, 1958, Royal Oak, Michigan) is of Irish-Scottish descent. He's most well-known for playing Ashley J. "Ash" Williams in the Evil Dead trilogy of horror/slpstick movies. Bruce is still a cult movie icon to this day and he's written two books -- If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B movie Actor and Make Love the Bruce Campbell way. He'll be in The Woods (2006) and My Name Is Bruce (2007). Campbell currently lives in Medford, Oregon, with his wife, costume designer Ida Gearon and son Andy.

ninjas - Everyone knows what these are. They're really cool Japanese assassians. Highly skilled in the art of ninjitsu, they fight quite stealthy and attack when least expected. Ninjas are awesome just because -- they've been featured in several comics series from time to time. How could you not like these guys? Hey, you could have a friend that's a ninja and not even know it.

Trollbait - A thread topic that appears to be well intentioned. Usually a dicussion on God, the president, what you believe, and topics similar to these. But in reality, they become nothing more than board members yelling at each other, trying to prove how wrong the other is. A trollbait topic is the match that lights the fuse.

... we need someone to go through all the definitions and provide a short index as to what has been defined on which page...

Any volunteers?

(?sp?) My spelling may be (and probably is) wrong. Also (sp) and other variations with question marks or with no brackets.

Cone-Butt: When your ass is pointy.

Also, Love, as in: "I thought you were kidding when you suggested an Ethiopian Restaurant, but I really cone-butted the food."

It's high time this linguistic gem was catalogued.

Bakerboy: A former member of the Hype. Often in league with Mr.Parker also formerly of the Hype. Much like Mr.Parker, bakerboy also had a strong dislike of the Spider-Man films. Accusing those who liked them of being "untrue fans of spidey" and generally agreeing with most any anti-Spidey remark made by his aforementioned ally.
Bakerboy had an immense love of actress Michelle Pfeiffer. It is thought his name comes from the film Michelle was in The Fabulous Bakerboys. He also thought Michelle should be cast in every movie, no matter what the role. He often called for Michelle to be cast as Mary Jane in the Spider-Man movies.
bakerboy had a knack for terrible spelling and a lack of basic grammar, even as he accused many Hypesters of being "untrue fans wiht bad grammer". Often clashed with Hype member Matt.

Oh, happy days....

I'm still searching for proof of the Mr. Peg scandal. I think it was all Hype.

Whoah, Hahaha, your freaking avatar scared me!
I thought I was hallucinating a witch into mine!

I consider the avatar an acceptible homage as it adds something new, and the sig as unacceptible as it's too similar.
The CT is fair game.
Also...you are creepy. :)

Eye of the beholder, precious.:cmad:

You're right though, the sig is too similar.

The Key Question. It is simply, "Would you hit it?". Generally it refers to a person (usually female), in a news story that gets posted on the Hype, wondering would you have sex with the protagonist of said story. It is a question that has never failed to be asked in one of the many "teacher has sex with student" topics.

42 - It's the answer to any really important question. Based on the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. When the computer Deep Thought was asked "What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?" it's answer was "42". When asked to explain it's answer, a better computer had to be built to properly phrase the question. Unfortunatly the second computer got a "bug" (humanity) and never did get the proper question for the answer phrased.

69 - A sexual position. If you require more details, you're not old enough to know them yet. ;)

Ha! That reminds me....

68 - "You do me and I'll owe you one."

A joke made famous by a couple moronic posters who read it in a Playboy and decided to use it all the time throughout 2005. Meaning, a couple threads in 2005 that no one noticed.
