I'm bummed Norton is gone too, but with all of this happening I am excited and looking to the future and potential. Mark Ruffalo is a fine actor and I'm glad they have him.

So this is a thread for his support up until the release of The Avengers. It'll be reasurring that he will do well and be in sync with the rest of the cast.

Not everyone is against it and we'll be rooting for him to do well. It's also a place for discussion anything Ruffalo related toward this film and maybe even an appreciation of the man, that he is capable of being Bruce Banner.

It's just a thread to show Ruffalo and Marvel that he has our support.

So who's with me?

I'm with you. I already loved Ruffalo before he got this part though.

You got me, man. I'm an Ed Norton man (I was gonna pick up 25th Hour today but felt bad about the Hulk thing and I put it back) but I have faith in Ruffalo. We shouldn't put an actors talents down because of an executive's unruly and *****ey decision. Ruffalo's made himself a name in Hollywood for a reason, and that's because he's talented. He's a great actor, and as of tonight, he has my support 100%. Now all we gotta do is wait and see how this materpiece rolls along and blows everyone away. :awesome:

As much as I hate recasts, this is easily forgivable. It definitely won't stop me from watching the movie 2 years from now. People are getting worried over nothing and besides, YOU'RE GETTING AN AVENGERS MOVIE! We're lucky that we're gonna be able to actually see this with our own eyes!

I still feel bad that norton got cast, but i do have hope that Ruffalo will do a good job. Only time will tell!

As much as I wanted Norton back as a sense of continuity, I'm ok with Mark. I love his work (The Kids Are All Right is a must see). But I'm surprised he signed up for this. I've read interviews where he basically says studio films are made just to sell toys and there's no character development. But I guess he's gotta eat.

Ah hell, I'm with you. I enjoyed Ruffalo in Collateral. I wish him the best here, and anxiously await the release of this movie.

Sign me the hell up .

Mark Ruffalo is a great actor, and I have the utmost confidence that he will deliver the best Bruce Banner yet.

So ****ing pumped by this casting.

Meh, I'm more excited about the other characters being on screen together than Banner being in the film now. Hopefully his role is small and it'll mostly be Hulk taking up the screen time.

I'm not going to pretend Norton wasn't great, but Ruffalo will be, too

I'm sure he'll be fine. I wonder what was going through his mind when he walked out on stage?

Ruffalo's a solid actor, you probably couldn't get a better person to take over Norton. Plus he's most likely gonna get an Oscar nod later this year if the Oscar site are anything to go by.

Have no idea who Ruffalo is... i know i've seen him in trailers for chick movies, don't think i've actually watched a movie with him in....

But he should not be put down for the FUBAR that happened..... he had nothing to do with it... so lets just look forward to the avengers....

Check out Zodiac, Collateral, Shutter Island, the dude's a chameleon.

I'm willing to give Ruffalo a chance for the sake of Joss Whedon and the cast surrounding him and the fact that he's generally not a bad actor, but Marvel can **** off. Norton too. I'm sure his hands aren't clean here. :o

Yeah. All three films are definitely worth checking out.

I must admit, I watched him in 13 Going On 30. And he was even good in that.

I mean... uh... I did. Should I be ashamed I watched 13 Going On 30? I was bored and there was nothing on tv.

I'm going to have to check out The Kids Are All Right.

What's done is done, no point crying about it any more, may as well move on and hope for the best.

*sigh* The biggest disappointing news I have heard all year is Edward Norton getting recast and the stuff going on with the Bond franchise, but I have to say....I have faith in this guy, even if I have never seen any of his work...yet. (I will still miss Norton so greatly though...)

That's actually not a bad film. Jen Garner's quite good in it.

We've all done that...

I'll put money on it that you have seen Ruffalo, you just didn't know it was him. The guy just blends into a movie.

You wanna see Tony Stark and Bruce Banner interact earlier? Go watch Zodiac. Not only is the film ****ing excellent, those two play off eachother extremly well.

And watch Shutter Island just for the hell of it because it's so goddamn great and he's in it. :woot:

The way I feel about Norton right now is basically like he's that parent that walked out on your family. You miss him and you wish that the family was whole again, but at the same time, they're kind of an ***hole for leaving in the first place. :o
