Okay, so you just became friends with a scientist you respected greatly, then he suffers an accident in which he loses his wife, in which you also got to know, also he has metal tentacles grafted to his spine? And what do you do after this? You STILL whine about how MJ won't go out with you! And when you see your friend robbing a bank? What do you do? You fight him instead of talking to him! No questions about why he's doing it!

People act like it's God's gift to comic fans. Now people are asking for an Oscar buzz for The Dark Knight? Please. Get out. The performances were good for a Batman movie but Bale will never be nominated for an Oscar for Batman. And it's not because the Academy has a thing against the genre, he just plain doesn't deserve it. Hugh Jackman is the closest thing to an elite leading man the comic book genre has and Spider-Man is the only franchise on a large enough scale to compete with the dramas that do get nominated for Oscars.

everything about these movies are assed backwards.
Blonde to redhead/Redhead to Blonde
Gwen Stacy to Mj/ Mj to Gwen Stacy
topher is brock and not parker.
webshooters not believalbe but a man made out of 20 foot sand of himself is..
the two leads are horrible.
peter parker is an appealing character becuase hes not depressed and so serious like batman, hes not perfect like superman. Parker is funny and charismatic and tobey maguire is a walking stiff.
comic parker cracks jokes, the movie parker has clutsy things happen to him which makes him out to be a walking dumbass that the audiance laughs at and not with him.
Mary Jane is Kirstin Dunst.
the spider man movies are okay movies, there solid movies based on the superman franchise which is annoying to see when spider mans comics visuals are so abundant and can be used instead of a superman ripping off shirt scene.
no webshooters, crappy costumes watered down plots.
the spider man movies by sam rami, tobey maguire and dunst is not what spider man is. at all. its an unapealing love story, with two depressed unapealing leads, and pussysypmathectic villains.

The Question said:So? Was it supposed to be shocking?
The Question said:I don't think it was meant to be shocking. Just something we didn't expect.
The Question said:But not everything we don't expect is shocking. Shock tends to be a much more extreme thing than simply seeing something you didn't expect to see.
