The Official SHH! Movie Awards Discussion Thread

For favorite scene I'm going to have to go with MI: Protocol, I definitely have one in mind. Although, a certain scene in Rise of the Planet of the Apes might have it beat. I'll have to give it some serious consideration.

When is this going to begin?

I feel like the Superhero movie life time achievement award will be between Nolan and Ledger....Both, together, have done a lot for the superhero film genre as far as taking it to a new level critically.

There should be a best sci-fi movie category and a worst comic book movie category.

But I love the overall concept. I hope this is the first of many.

We should've started this the day TDK wasn't nominated for best picture.

Never forget.

The Official Superherohype Movie awards will start at 10 pm tonight!

best bad ass of the year is gonna be easy at least for me

lets just say this bad ass loves his toothpicks:cwink:

I'm looking forward to this. Should be fun seeing no one else pick the things I do...

Favourite scene is going to be the toughest one for me... I must admit, nothing specifically sticks out as THAT far above others. I'll have to give it some thought.

Screw it, I'm starting it now! :yay:

The first two categories will be up soon and will be stickied shortly.

Parker maybe we should have a Best Line in a Comedy, only because I feel there is usually at least one line everyone remembers from a Comedy and maybe that should be honored. Just an idea.

That can be added next year. I'm only allowed a limited number of categories this year.

Warrior is gonna be my Film of The Year most likely i like drive but i absolutely loved Warrior

I'm actually finding it hard to think what I've actually seen this year. I mean I've only seen one comedy film this year cause every other one looked like crap. I think I've only seen about 8 films this year...

My picks for badass of the year next week is gonna be tough. I've started narrowing a few choices down and I still have a lot to weed through:

Jason Momoa in Conan the Barbarian, "Conan"
Emily Browning in Sucker Punch, "Babydoll"
Mark Strong in Green Lantern, "Sinestro"
Michael Parks in Red State, "Abin Cooper"
Henry Cavill in Immortals, "Theseus"
Jay Chou in The Green Hornet, "Kato"
Optimus Prime in Transformers: Dark of the Moon
John Boyega in Attack the Block, "Moses"
Eric Bana in Hanna, "Erik"
Ryan Gosling in Drive, "Driver"
Dwayne Johnson in Fast Five, "Luke Hobbs"
Rooney Mara in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, "Lisbeth Salander"
Chris Hemsworth in Thor, "Thor"
Andy Serkis in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, "Caesar"
Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, "Ethan Hunt"
Michael Fassbender in X-Men: First Class, "Magneto"

It's times like these that I'm shocked at how many movies I've seen this year.. :p

I see a lot of people nominating Jennifer Aniston for Horrible Bosses. kind of surprising.

Given that it's probably the best role she's had in years... why not?

It seemed like a minor role. I think she barely got more screen time than Farrel's character. Also I didn't find her particularly funny.

I find it terrible that no one else has suggested The Inbetweeners Movie for best comedy. I assume everyone else has never heard of it cause you're all American?

I was forced to sit through a trailer for that at Drive.

It was completely unfunny.
