I thought Peter crying because Harry died was sad and not funny at all. I felt really bad for Harry and for Peter in that scene. I also felt really bad for Peter on the bridge when MJ was dumping Peter. and that one wasn't funny either.

Once again it has nothing to do with him crying, but his face while doing it.

I understand crying isn't a beautiful thing, I get it, but from personal experiences in my past, such as the fact that I've seen family members, friends cry, etc, I can say that they didn't have the "Maguire face". Its just the way he cries, not his fault its funny.

one explanation for the poor acting would be that the 2 scenes where Tobey had to cry (excluding the uncle Ben flashback) were filmed very late in the shooting process. In fact, Kirsten said that by that point, they had done so much acting that they just wanted to get it over with.

I just couldn't stop laughing when he was goggling over Harry, it looked stupid as hell, the worse acting in the entire film. I fell out of my seat laughing uncontrollably.
