The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

For The last damn time ppl, Spidey was not emo!! just because u have hair in your face does not make u emo! and for those of u who are complaining about the dance scene, too bad it's in the film deal with it. u don't like it

then do some ******ed "be kind, rewind" remake of the SM3 movie.
the reason why peter was dancing and flirting with girls was because the suit enhances all of his CHARACTERISTICS!!! Meaning everythin about Peter's

personality has been enhanced like his agression. Peter PArker by nature never seemed to be a really confident guy. but with the Symbiote enhancing his character, he gained alot of confidence. Thus the reason for him looking so "happy-go lucky" while dancing and flirting with girls.


As for the clothes, they were ment to give a physical example of Peter's "DARKER" personality. The hair style just wen well with the look(an it was not emo) and for those B%#*ing and moaning about the look for the

Black Suit, grow some balls and live with it. Nobody ever complains about any other super hero's costume do they? i never hear anbody complain about the movie BatMAn suits being all black instead gray and black or grey and blue. I never heard anybody complain about the SuperMan Returns design which had thousands of tins little superMan shields all over the costume. nobody even complained about how the X-Men movie suits are black istead of being like t

he suits they have in the comics and cartoons. nobody ever complained about how how spidey's Red and Blue movie suit has a thousnad tiny little ovals as a pattern throughout the suit and how it has rasied silver webbing instead of flat black webbing. and that the eye pieces seems to change from silver to white every now and then, or how the spider elmbems are totaly different from the origial comic version.

I like how they use MJ singing to sort of show the transition too. Even though she gets a lot of crap for her singing, even though within context of the movie she is supposed to be kind of lousy. I like how they use the song in the beginning about her being in love, and how at the end she is singing about how she'll never love again. It added a nice bookend to the movie.

It is kind of like how they used The Importance of Being Earnest in the second movie as a kind of parallel. Which was really creative.

I though kirsten Dunst did a pretty good job singing(especially since she really isnt a singer, so for someone who doesn't sing, she did s good job) I also like the song "Summer Day" on the SM3 soundtrack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

Have you read any board aside from Spiderman? People have been complaining about all those suits for years now. Have you lived under a rock or are you just oblivious to anything non Spider Man? With that said I have no problem with the Spiderman suits. I think out of all the Super hero movies it's probably the second best adaptation when it comes to suits. I put Iron Man first as far as the suits go.

Don't leave SHH. It may have a lot of negative people, but personally I think it's one of the more civilized internet boards.

Most of the other boards I've joined, are a lot worse than the people on SSH. My favorite is by far the Spectacular Spider-man boards, though. Spider-man 3 boards are where most of the hate comes from.

I just want to see what other directors can do with this franchise. Ang Lee's Hulk was a disaster, and look how good the new one looks, people that have seen TIH say it will make people totally forget Ang Lee's version. Im not saying that Raimi did such a bad job on SM3, they should get a new director, i just think that they're are other directors out there that love SM too

Yeah, but the thing is, do people want to forget about Raimi's Spider-man? I personally love his interpretation. I have no doubt there's other directors that love Spider-man just as much, or even more; but he's already established his style.

i doubt the Sony company would approve a crappy story from a new director, most of the time a new director always wants to prove he's better imo

I was with you until the end. I don't think it was the worst or even one of the worst. I just don't think it was very good. I thought it was watchable and kind of entertaining. It had some great stuff some good stuff and some terribly horrible stuff. I'd call it Average maybe a little bellow.

You should really search around a little bit more plenty of people complain about other hero costumes. Hell I am a huge Batman fan and I love the Nolan Franchise, but I'm not to big a fan of the costume or the Tumbler. I would of liked to have seen something a little closer to the actual X-men costumes as well.

I don't like all the detail. The new costume looks like there are 400 pieces and they just glued them all on. You can't even see the aat Symbol on his chest. I thought as far as the movies go 89 Batman had the best costume. I'm not a fan of 89 Batman, but I loved the costume and the batmobile. I just hate all the lines and pieces and detail all over it I would prefer it to look like a single suit.

The Tumbler has got to be one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. The Bad pod is running in at a close second now.

I'm pretty sure Iron man and Spider-man's red and blue costume have been the only costumes people have never really complained about. There has been some gripping but not anything major. Oh and maybe the Fantastic Four.

But you haven't heard people complain about the X-men . Maybe not so much anymore, but that's probably because there aren't many people who still care about the X-men movies. And I remember when the first photo of Superman's redesign for Returns surfaced. Fans FREAKED out to new extremes.

I think as long as the movie is good people let these things go a little more. Such as the Batman example, there are a lot of complaints about the costumes. But Batman Begins is held is such high regard that everyone more or less trusts Nolan to whatever end.

and really the only Spider-man costume complaint that goes on and on and on is about the Green Goblin/Harry's "new" goblin.

and I personally think SHH is one of the better boards. The mods help keep things clean and civil and most posters at least bring some level of reasoning to their constant griping.

People hate the movie's black suit and Venom, costumes too. Personally I've liked them all, but I liked all the movies, so yeah.
Technically Iron Man's suit isn't really a perfect adaption either. I mean, did his armor ever look exactly like that?

and you can't get a perfect adaptation because they change a lot over the years. No sense in just picking one version. I think the movie Iron man is a lot cooler than most of the comic versions anyway. I think it is mostly just about being able to quickly identify a character, these are colorful visual mediums after all.

Hey, don't tell me, I agree with you. But that's just what other people say. I think the movie Iron Man is one of the coolest looking armors, too. The only armor in the comics that really competes, is the Extremis armor.

There were some serious issues with this movie, most of which could have been solved by a) removing the whole dancing thing and b) cut Venom way the heck out of the movie.

However, there were some awesome, awesome parts. Namely, the Harry/Peter fight, both the one over the city and the one in Harry's apartment...as well as the final battle show down with the Harry/Spidey team up. Honestly one of the most spectacular fights ever in a superhero movie. I love it.

^Not that in depth I don't think. It was just about one part, that led to just a compliment to Young, I believe. Did anyone catch that reccuring theme, that played throughout the movie? It was played during the beginning when Peter talks to the kids; when the symbiote first attaches to Peter; and when Spiderman is on the church spire; as well as other places.
