The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

20 minutes. I timed it in the theater. Venom is born at 1 hour 44 minutes and dies at 2 hours and 4 minutes.
He only has 7 minutes of actual screen time, as in you only see him in the movie for 7 minutes.

Yeah, but he's not on screen all the time between those two times. There's scenes with Harry at his mansion, the stupid crowd of spectators, reporters on TV, giant Sandman etc

But he's alive for 20 minutes. :cwink:

I dont think this movie ever got boring, it may have been bogged down by too many characters but everyone who hates it can even admit that it never got boring.

LOL! Can't argue that.

I'm no Venom fan, but overall Sam did all that could be done with a character like Venom. His only real purpose is to kill Spider-Man. He's a one trick pony.

Yes, the Brock character could have been fleshed out a bit more, but Venom served his purpose, IMO.

I dont see how anyone can 'hate' the movie. Sure it was a dissapointment, but that doesnt make the movie bad or hate-worthy.

I still love it. Even months later, giving it another viewing, by d/ling it the other day.

I still get caught up in the magic that is a Spider-Man movie. Yeah there are things that could of been improved on, hopefully done for Spidey 4, but Sam gave us 2 excellent movies from top to bottom, and then fumbled a bit with his third, but its not like he did a complete 180 and turned out Batman and Robin? Its still better then most comic book movies around.

And i think after a bit of time, looked back upon, it will gain a better light to, but i could care less what people on a message board think about a movie that i loved and enjoyed. Thats what only matters to me, having a great time, did Venom not have a lot of screen time? Sure, but did we finally get to see Venom on screen? Hell yeah and he looked ****in great.

Spider-Man 3 is a good film in my eyes, but just couldnt live up to Spidey 2, big deal? Not really, i still enjoy it. 8-)

thats just my little piece of info i wanted to say.

Interesting little tidbit..... Chocolate Cake Girl(CCG) will be on ABC's Private Practice.

I really loved the movie! I felt all the main characters had a great story arc(yes eddie to, 'cause Venom is not just about venom, it's about Eddie to.) Just like Spider-Man is not just about Spidey it's about Peter to. if that makes any sense.

If Spider-Man 2 was the best comicbook movie ever made, then Spider_Man 3 was the best Spider-Man movie ever made( or at least so far).

Despite sm3's flaws, I love this movie. Not once does it get boring or drag on out certain scenes and the non action scenes just entertained me. Imo, this movie actually felt like a comic book movie and didn't try so hard to be more than it should have been. TMags' portrayal particularly as spider-man was so much better. The entire armoured truck sequence (including its dialogue) was just vintage comic book stuff. Thats how I like my spidey. Confident, cavalier and displaying awe-inspiring skill....even when he gets hurt.

I bought this movie on Monday and I've already watched it 4 times. That, is smethng I just can't do wih sm1 and 2 especially.

Also, I must add that the blooper reel was quite a fun watch. I never realised just how much fun TMags was having and its a real shame because he's clearly a fun-loving guy and they havn't utilised that part of his character effectively throughout the films to realy bring spider-man alive.

This is my 2nd favorite comic movie...behind only Spider-Man 2.

And, I am still not ashamed of that.

What is your top 5 again?

Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 3
Superman: The Movie
Spider-Man
Batman Begins

May seem biased toward Spidey (which, as a Spidey fan there is :woot:), but I feel they are 3 of the best made comic movies.
