The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

I remember seeing the Blu-Ray version of Spidey3 playing in Circuit City and it defenitley looked amazing.

Does Blue-Ray have extremely better picture quality than HD DVD.
i think Blu-ray does have better sound and picture along with more features but it doesn't matter anymore since they stopped making HD DVD's:yay:

The only thing that really annoyed me was that Peter's Black suit was like just a costume, and didn't retract or have the chameleon abilities. Everything else about the movie I loved.

See, that i would have loved to see, rather than Peter going into the store to buy the suit, it would have been so awesome and SO Symbiote to see him down an alley and his clothes just changed to how he wanted them. It amazes me how afraid comic book movies are to go a little scf-fi, they are fantasy movies afterall.

Hey AVEITWITHJAMON, atleast Eddie's suit was a little more faithful to the comics.

Though, I never had an HD DVD or Blu-Ray player, jugding by picture quality I have seen in stores, Blu-Ray seems a bit better. However, as you said. HD DVD is gone.

True, though we never got to see it for long :csad:.

God, with just a few changes, this movie could have been so much better. I still enjoy it, but when i think what we could have got, its a shame really.

Its still the best superhero 3rd entry in a franchise though, and its MILES better than X3.

I know, it's awesome. And it includes Tobey, Kirsten, James, Thomas, Topher, Bryce, and Sam Raimi. I couldn't believe they were all doing it. In the first two movie commentaries, there was barely anyone.

i liked the part about Thomas and the dog, and also Tobey and James talking about the love triangle between Peter, Harry, and MJ. It also explains a why they did certain things, that a lot of people hate.

exactly it's like if ppl watched the commantary it would be easier to discuss with the ppl blinded by their hatred.
btw the love trianlge part was one of my favorite parts of the commentary. lol when they get to the scene when harry dies tobey is all "ok, well i guess i forgive u, since u took a mortal wound and all" lol

I loved the Spider-Man 3 cast/director commentary, what with the Debbie Downer reference and "Sam, can I punch a dog in a kids' movie?" :D

Spider-man 3 kinda reminds me of Jaws 2,only it was a much better film.
See,the original Jaws was such a masterpiece that no matter what the sequel did,it was never going to compare and most would consider it a disappointment. Same kinda goes for Spider-man 3. Part 2 is a masterpiece and many hail it as the greatest comic book film ever. So,it's comes to reason that Spider-man 3 might let a few people down because they came in with VERY high expectations. Too high,in fact. That only stands to reason though, especially with Venom in the movie. Most people(not even just the die hard fans)wanted and couldn't wait to see Venom and were disappointed(like I was)at how little screen time he got. Honestly, that's the major complaint I always hear from everyone, even non-fans...not enough Venom/black suit.
But,my point is that while some may not like this movie, but no means is it a bad film at all. It has flaws, yes, but some people make it sound like it was the worst film ever made. At the end of the day,Spider-man 3 is a damn good movie:woot:.

I agree its not a bad movie, its a good one, but the flaws and dissapointments just bring it down so much, the movie has so many scene's of greatness in, but they are let down by scene's equally as bad as the good ones are good.

And about the high expectations, you cant really blame anyone for that, the trailers, budget and first 2 movies alone were bound to generate an immense amount of hype.

agreed the only reason SM3 made a lot of money was because of what you said and the marketing for this movie. A lot of my friends were so excited for the movie and once they saw it, they were kinda pissed after wards cause they thought it was ok, and the only ones who really liked it were some of the SM fans thats about it, everyone i asked thought it was " OK "

I thought it was OK. Worthy of the name? Yes. Worthy of its predecessors? Relative.

Wow! That's quite the turnaround. :cwink:

I still dislike the film. The only reason I consider it "OK" is because I got it with my PS3 on Blu-Ray and the picture quality is too good to hate.
