I don't know why, but I've always loved that cover. I think I've got some sick thing for covers which have Peter/Spidey after he's had the crap beaten out of him.

Aloha,
There's a story to the Bagley variant. It came poly bagged with a cassette tape of the Ramones performing the original Spider-Man theme song. The Spectacular Spider-Man #231 had the same cassette tape with it's variant cover as well.I've got the Spectacular variant but I didn't get the Amazing one. Right now on Ebay, they want from $100 to 250 for this baby. They wont get it from me, but I'm on the prowl for a copy.

I've always liked their version of the song, but had no clue about the history behind it. Interesting stuff, I hope you can get one for a decent price.

I can't believe we would have almost been rounding 400 days had the movie not been canceled. :csad:

Thanks for sharing. I never knew about this (must of been when I jumped out of collecting again) and I do enjoy the Ramones. Dang it!

I have one of the bagged Ramones' Spidey issues, I just can't remember which one...

Spidey rules with very OLD fans... lol

:cwink:

The Ramones were one of the 5 most quintessential bnads I needed to see in my lifetime... the other 4 being the Cramps, the Dickies, DEVO & the B-52's...

I saw the B-52's last weekend, saw the Dickies in 1995, and the Cramps in 1990, 1992, 2003 & 2004...

DEVO is touring again, so I might be able to see them, but alas, I'll never get a chance to see the Ramones.
