The Incredible Hulk Gallery: The Official Pictures Thread

A trailer should be released on Sunday. I mean, the studio did the same thing with The Dark Knight. They finished filming -- then, a trailer was released after debuting about four or five pictures.

HAHA! Thats awesome. I wonder if they'll re-do the tv show piano hitchiking theme.

Is that a bong in the foreground? Maybe we'll see the birth of HIPPIE HULK! Tune in, turn on, HULK OUT!

I'm betting that's when he's looking for the cure, in the Wizard interview, Louis Leterrier said the origin is not going to be retold.

I hope so. I like the pics but that second one is so much like his origin in the TV series..which has me a little concerned.

WTF...****ing TV show???!!!
Bring in the Gama Bomb for #$%@ sake

The second one is the birth of The Hulk(like the TV show)??? I hope Not!
In 2008 the radiography-machine-thing doesn't work at all!
That pic actually greatly disappoints me to some degree. Unless it's a tester device, but I doubt it.

I know some people have a hard on for the TV show, but I want a damn HULK movie, based on the good comics, dammit. No more TV show/ Bruce Jones bull*****e' .

Isn't that something he's using to cure himself. We can't assume too much yet. Even if it's not the script has to make sense in today's world. This isn't a sequel but it's later in the lifeline of the character compared to the first film. It's not another origin film so it would be kind of weird if they first stills were from flashbacks within the film.

I doubt it, it's too similar to the radiation chair thing he used in that damn TV show.

Nice pics....Trailer will be released soon according to the front page

The front page said UNIVERSAL'S 2008 preview will be released. That , means some sort of summation regarding the movies due out next year from Universal. It doesn't mean a Hulk trailer.

Well, it might be some part of his search for a cure that is a nod to the TV show and not some sort of origin segment. If that is it, I think it's a cool idea. We don't know yet.

They always said from the very beginning there will be elements of the TV show in this film. That makes sense considering so many people know the Hulk just through the TV show. You want something that appeals to those fans as well but makes sense to the comic book fans. This is a franchise not a one shot deal so I think they're doing enough to make everyone happy who's looking for an awesome film. If some of you are that much of a purist then go read the books. There is rarely a clone of a comic in a 150 million dollar budgeted film. This is Marvel's character and they've changed The Hulk themselves over and over again. It doesn't change who the character is at all or what he does.

Lou did say that the TV show is very close to his heart - - and I like the look of these two pictures.

Thats what I got out of it. Just wanted to be sure I didn't miss anything.

I used to love the tv show, but the comics and the stories they told made me see it for the pale shadow of the concept that it was.

But with these "nods" to it in this new film like the chair shot, it really pi$$es me off. The show was more "Fugitive" rip-off with Werewolf themes thrown in than anything really hardcore Hulk. Then again, nothing has really got my confidence raised in this project outside of the cast and Norton re-writing the script.

I just hope it doesn't screw up fan wise what Ang Lee got right.

oh great, another old tv series movie spin off...

what happened to norton being a long time hulk comic fan, i bet he doesn't have 20 hulk comics...

:o

A single picture of Ed Norton in a chair pisses you off? Oh boy. They're not remaking the TV show...but taking the best elements of it. Banner on the run, etc...

Oh and nothing has your confidence outside of the cast and the script? LOL

Well damn Nivek..then there isn't much left to be concerned about. What's left? The director?

I do agree on that part. Ang did manage to get at least a few things proper and I hope those aren't brushed aside.

Sorry, I dont eagerly lick up everything Marvel or their film studios throw at my feet.:whatever:

I would love to be into this film, but i'm not. I am a Hulk fan first, and thats how I'm looking at this project, which is more of a mixed bag in some ways than Ang's film was. Between Zack's stupid comments, and the very mention of Bruce Jones HORRIBLE SERIES ENDING run having any kind of influence on this movie, well... call me cautious my little Marvelite.

Dont get attitude with me about this, because I am not alone in being pi$$ed that some 30+ year old TV show overshadows 44 years of the damn COMIC CHARACTER.

According to the Louis Leterrier's Interview on Wizard, the Theme will be used in the movie!

Calm Down.
That is(was) just, simply a radiography machine(and, besides it, there are some radiographies). The power of that kind of machine, can't in NO WAY be compared with an atomic Bomb!
Then, I think is just a little "easter egg"... it Doesn't look like a flashback!

Ang did do some cool things and The Hulk is the The Hulk so the core elements will remain. The one thing I truly enjoyed (mostly) were the swipes/transitions. I say mostly because he went a bit too far in some scenes where it became a distraction but some were just downright awesome like when the camera pulls back from the scene to reveal a comic page of animated panels and then zooms back in on the next panel to move to the next scene.

Wait, -- Norton doesn't have a beard in one picture, and then he does in the next. Flashback..?

How is the TV show overshadowing anything. Most of the people going to see this movie are NOT having verbal temper tantrums over pictures while pounding their chest about their fandom. The movie franchise is NOT the comic book franchise. You only have one shot every few years to develop and sustain a franchise. This is it's own project. It's not Ang's film, it's not the comic book and it's not the film you have in your head. I think you're taking things a bit too far with your emotions over a picture. It's sorta humorous though. I go to the movies to be entertained and totally loved The Dark Knight, Casino Royale, Spider-Man, etc...despite the changes to the character which to me IMPROVED the film. Source material isn't always and rarely is perfection. It can be improved upon and considering none of this changes the character itself in anyways...we should be happy The Hulk is getting a second shot at developing an ongoing franchise. This isn't a saturday morning cartoon this is a huge investment for the stuido. It can't just appeal to purists. There's not die hard purists out there to support a 10 million dollar film let alone one pushing 150+ million.

Also for the record:

Fantastic Four: Mediocre
Blade: Trinity: Garbage
X-Men (1st film): Lame
Elektra: Poor
Daredevil: Horrible
Daredevil DC: Better than horrible but still has Affleck.

So no I don't approve of every film released with Marvel characters but I do have faith in Marvel as the studio so far. I have no reason not to have it.
