The Incredible Hulk Gallery: The Official Pictures Thread

2008 is much better, more of a rough skin surface, more definition, and just an overall mean looking muther

I just went back and watched 2003 Hulk and looking back on it he seems way too shiny and rubbery in a lot of the scenes. Granted, a lot of the shots (which I selectively remember) still look great and quite photo-realistic... there are just too many scenes where he looks animated. The most glaring problem is the colour and texture of his skin. It's too bright and too smooth. The new look is much grittier and the extra detail will only add that much more realism. Hope all the shots stand up to the quality of the trailer.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking lately. I really like the duller green.. Hulk should never look like an emerald tree boa.

My brother just sent me a picture via text message of the Hulk image on the back of the new Sports Illustrated.

It. Is. AMAZING.

You are a most excellent troll. Only the best can subtly weave such a web of passive aggressive comments and underhanded compliments. You've fooled the moderators into thinking you aren't actually a troll, and thus you've succeeded. Well done, sir. Well done.
To you, a troll is anybody who says anything you don't agree with. The moderators haven't done anything about him because it isn't against the rules to criticise CGI.

well i dont agree with that. i think they did a great job at making a hulk with a human skin.
hes textures were like of a human skin. and to shiny?
yes the skin was maybe to smooth. and it made him to human but i think they wanted a hulk where people can connect with him. this new hulk is more of a monster creature.

i think the problem is that Breck thinks that you need to love this new movie or hate it.
and since i dont 100% love it or 100% hate it then i am a troll.

a little confused. :oldrazz:

i like how the pants are dirty. i hope that they will also make the skin dirty.

Really great picture to use for promotions, I think he'll look 10 times better still in the movie though.

Now that's the Incredible Hulk! Look how badass ripped jeans look, over purple pants. take that Ang lee!

werent the pants purple because of the cartoons and jeans?
aha ang lee did something to be more close to want fans want and its bad?

Nice choice, I'm hoping this will be the international poster...

In my opinion, Dale Keown was one of the BEST hulk artists out there. Great cover. It even appears, when copying this cover for the Empire Magazine, that they even took a lot of the same cracks into play. Great job!!!

His intentions may have been good. But lets face it, he changed the Hulks origin because he wanted things to be grounded in 'reality'; how many ppl in the 'real world' to you see walking around with purple pants?

i dont remember if he had purple jeans. thats just BAD. did he have them?
the purple stretch pants at teh end made sense and were logic for tests on banner.

Every shot I see of the new Hulk makes me like it that much better than 03 Hulk. This even harkens to the split image from the old tv show Banner with his mouth closed and the true monster baring his teeth. I still don't see the CGI gripes, new Hulk's a more subdued shade of green, and you can see far more wrinkles, scars, sunken eyes, character lines, pores, facial hair follicles, veins, etc. More detailed. More monstrous. More Hulk. Hulk as muscle-bound monster > Hulk as muscle-bound green human.

Very Well said.

Jim, thats Mike Deodato's cover they did the Duty to.

I have NEVER said my opinion was fact (like you think that matters) but alright, if you think we're causing trouble, bring the moderators in. We'll let them judge if I'm a problem or not.

As Nivek pointed out that was drawn by Mike Deodato. I like how Deodato played up the "monster" aspect of Hulk.
