Is that another Abomination design for the movie? I like it better than the one used in the movie.

yeah me and kirmit were talkign about it just now.. its an early concept design..

That design is one to have nightmares about, considering they didn't want to do a direct comic translation of the design that would've been perfect and comic fans would've been happier, I never really liked the uber-human direction they took. Not saying I don't like what we got, I think it's just the face that really bothered me, just looked like a guy with a shaven head.

yeah i see what your sayin.. i dont know why they didnt go with that.. maybe it was too dificult for the team to do i dunno. i think its better also..

I don't know about everyone else now, but I think I prefer Abom's movie design over the comic's Creature from the Black Lagoon on roids.

This would have been perfect:up:

It's hideous, non human, reptilian and yet it gets rid of the "fish ears." But I'm sure they were too worried about scaring kids too much, so who cares about perfection when you're losing bucks.

I would have loved that us a kid just because it looks so scary!

The above pic does look badass.

But for some reason, this ^ just screams 'Edgar-bug' from 'Men in Black' to me.

Y'know, I was one of the staunchest detractors of the A-bomb movie design because I really wanted to see a comicbook-faithfull Abomination up there on screen. It actually suprised me quite a bit when I found myself in the cinema actually liking the way he looked in the movie.

Love that uglier face! I agree with Kirmit in that the movie final Abom looked like they just CG'ed a shaved guy's head onto the body of Abom. It was too small in proportion to the body, and was so void of fine details that the rest of the body had in overabundance. This scragglier face & head match far better than what we got, I think. Now if they'd just give him some ears!! :woot:

Yeah, I never really liked this since I first saw it. Now that you say that, it DOES seem like it'd fit right in with the aliens wandering around MIB headquarters.

I love seeing designs like this to get a feel of what the thought process was like pre-production. I'm really happy with the Abom we got in the movies, normally non-comics fans have lots of odd questions because what they're seeing is so out of left field and I noticed after seeing it twice nobody had any issues with Abominations, his look, and evolution as a character was easily swallowed by the general public. The thing with some of those concepts tho is they remind me of a biological version of megatron from the transformers movie.

me too. i really wish it came out with an art book ormaking of book, i'd love to have read that..

He looks way too reptilian for me. Like an alien or something..

Is there a full body photo of Hulk? (in quiet state, hehe)

I mean, like the typical promo pics of other superhero movies (Ironman, X-men....)

haven't seen it before.

Is a good "pic".

thanks sarg, although I wanted a pose pic, I mean, with no "action", hehe.

Ah gotcha,

Although these are not from the film but they are "posed" concept art pics of Hulk.

good concept pics, hehe.

so, there isn't a decent pose/"studio" pic?

:(

Can someone please post some more concept pics of both Abomb & the Hulk? I really need them.

This design could've worked, as could the first concept posted. Both were totally awesome. :wow: But what we did get was pretty damn rad, and creeped me out when I first saw it.
