Daredevil The Inevitable Costume Thread

It's a prototype, I'm quite confident of that. It looks like it's something that he threw together, probably in one of his earliest missions. I'm quite sure that we'll see a progression/evolution of the costume, with the classic red one being the endgame. I mean come on, they gave Loki is goofy-looking Reindeer horns helmet. DD's costume isn't that hard to buy by comparison.

This is without a doubt the prototype. Props to Marvel for sticking with the comics even closer than I would have expected.
This is going to be a great show, I can feel it in my bones n stuff.

Does anyone know if that Quesada concept art is being given out as a poster at the con? I would love to have that on my wall.

It reminds me of the DD costume in Trial of the Incredible Hulk.

Also it's been done before:

Seeing this costume and thinking it will be permanent is like seeing this

I'm normally not one to make assumptions or complain, but I did moan and whinge to myself when I saw the photo until I actually read the article.:old razz:

I'm happy that there will be an evolution in the costume. Marvel should take there time too, no rush in a TV series to get characters into their famous costumes.:cwink:

I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw the still, but there's no way that's going to be his permanent crime-fighting outfit.

I'm disappointed that we still didn't get to see the real costume yet. What we saw is good for a first time/early costume; I have 100% confidence in Marvel to give us a great costume, I don't really think they've failed in the design area yet...even IM3's "Mandarin" looked great.

Man Without Fear was the first DD story I read growing up.This first costume was from one of my favorite scenes from that story. So glad we get a chance to see it.This is gonna be good!

Will refuse to watch this series until I hear this piece of **** ''GROUNDEDREALNOLAN'' costume is replaced with the true DD one.

Clueless exec$ worrying about not attracting the NCIS/L&O demo with a red suit.

this poster does look cool though

What makes this and the first live action shot terrifying is that it could be real.
Look at both images.
This is a guy that literally pop out of a shadow and beats out the ever living **** from you.
Makes a ninja from metal gear solid look like a *****.
Doesn't need to kill you to let you know he could have killed you.
It
isn't a rule for DD not to kill but he'll avoid it because he knows he can change a man with a good beating, maybe beat so much sense in him that he takes a good path, without killing him and making that decision for yourself.

Maybe DD will kill, I don't know, apparently he did a couple of times in the comics.
But if he does it shouldn't be as a first result is all.
He is a tortured man and wouldn't make that decision lightly.

But a righteous beating, which is what he gives, what the law he studied for does not provide, it is what he feels can knock sense into his most vile villain when the system fails.

You start making bad choices, run in with the wrong crowd, make a big move, a bad one, and next day some guy with a t-shirt on his face knocked all the teeth out of your mouth and left you questioning your path.

Are you freaking kidding me? It's a PROTOTYPE!!! Dialogue in the scenes they previewed say this outright. Did Spider-Man wear the wrestling costume the whole movie? Or did you nerdrage as soon as you saw it and leave the theater? FYI, he gets a really neat costume just a few scenes later.

Do you have any specific quotes, clips or evidence that they used the word ''prototype'' in a scene?

Because nowhere in any interviews or feedback from the event did I hear this.
The raging fanboys on Twitter are not getting a response from DeKnight (who is vocal) or anyone else over threats of cancelling Netflix subs.

Then I read the copy and was like:

It his first costume. I was there, I watched the clips, it's acknowledged as a prototype:

CLARE: Your costume sucks.
MATT: It's a work in progress.

I remember reading this when my brother got it in the early 90s (i think). It's a great re-telling of Matt's origins, and I think it's awesome that they're using it as inspiration here. I have no doubt that he'll have his traditional costume later.

I don't understand why people are getting upset/overreacting to something that is a direct adaptation from a story in the comics.

I'm glad you said that.

After reading about the clips last night, I had a thought that maybe Clare would help him design his more permanent suit.

Any other tidbits from being there that you can share? Nvm, I just saw your long post in the general discussion thread. Thanks!

Does anyone know if they've released that Quesada promo artwork as a physical poster yet?
