As hints from months ago and more recently that involves Vin Diesel, he again, drop a hint on his FB Account stating and I quote:

"Vin and Marvel... you all made it happen! I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman... Haha."

If that doesn't serve enough basis then let's go back months before when Vin first met with Marvel to discuss a new franchise that will be merged into the MCU:
"Marvel meeting today…
Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…
P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!"

“What we were initially talking about was a fresh IP and that was the focus of our conversation, which was a fresh IP that would come out in 2016 or 2017, and potentially launch the third phase. And when we went to Comic-Con we realized that people wanted something a little more immediate…”

If you remember that one, sure he's somewhat dropping a hint that he's playing Vision BUT according to that meeting he is going to join a fresh IP for Phase 3 (The Inhumans, as many believe) and he also stated that people wanted something a little more immediate (GOTG) - that lead to Groot.

Now, I think it's about time that we somewhat give focus to this new IP as we are nearing Phase 3, as you can see I'm talking about...

What do you think guys? Please share your reactions and insights regarding this new IP below. Thank You!

I always hoped Vin was talking about Black-Bolt.

Thing is, I always assumed more recently that Inhumans would be pushed to be in Phase 4 now.

PS - What happened to the old Inhuman's thread? I looked for it the other day and couldn't find it.

2017 could end up being very cosmic.
Thor 3
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
The Inhumans

Quite a few of us want him to play Black Bolt. There's something fun about him playing a character only through his voice and then playing a character who doesn't speak.

If you go to the thread about Marvel release dates, you'll see a lot of blatant speculation from me about the Inhumans. IMO, there are two dates in 2017 that could be a new IP before Avengers 3 (the other one probably being Thor 3). My position was that any movie that close to Avengers 3 should have some connection to that movie. The most obvious connection is something to do with the Kree. At the time, I suggested the Inhumans were the only ones that fit. In retrospect, Captain Marvel also fits. The only thing that causes me to lack confidence is that Black Panther is the movie with the most active casting rumors, which makes me think it's the final Phase 3 movie (and, thus, completely obliterating my theory).

However, all that said, a Phase 3 Inhumans movie is still a realistic possibility. If not, it would be a 2018 or 2019 Phase 4 movie.

One of the great things that this franchise will bring would be the War OF Kings arc and YES PEOPLE! Kree VS Skrull can and will happen in the MCU (the only exemption, Super Skrulls - owned by fox, the rest are co-owned).

Sad thing is The Shi'ar empire, as we all know that chances of the Xmen universe using their cosmic properties are slim to none (damn star jammers pops in mind), won't get their piece of the arc in the MCU.

P.S.

IIRC, Feige and Marvel wants this to have a Games of Throne vibe for it which reminds me of a perfect casting for GORGON:

QUESTION IS, can Marvel snatch him up from DC as we all know he turned down the offer for Drax the Destroyer which eventually went to Batista.

Mamoa could very well be playing Aquaman in the DC films (they've been teasing the Hell out of it). So he may be out of reach. Marvel has been pushing the Inhumans in the comics recently, which may very well be a case of trying to raise their profile for the movies. Inhumans is essentially Marvel's chance to do the X-Men without actually having the do the X-Men. Oh and Vin Diesel as Black Bolt would be fantastic. Who should play Medusa, any thoughts?

For the love of god!

No more Games of Thrones Actors in Comic Book Movies!

:cmad:

So damn sick and tired of the entire cast being fan cast in every single Comic book movie. I understand the popularity of the show, but putting the cast in every Marvel or DC movie is so tiring, like casting Nathan Fillion and I like Nathan in Castle.

While I agree that we shouldn't instantly jump to Game of Thrones suggestions, that's not a bad one. Then again, I think there are a lot of people who could pull off Gordon, who is a pretty broad archetype.

Get over it.

I don't really understand why Game of Thrones actors keep getting fancast, but maybe that's because I'm one of only five people in the entire world who have never seen the show.

I'm all for either Famke Jansson or Jodie Foster playing Medusa since that role requires an older woman who also has to have the chops to speak for Black Bolt.

Speaking of Black Bolt, Keanu Reeves should play him. He's a good physical actor who struggles with line delivery and he's also old enough.

And in the MCU, I do want Black Bolt and Medusa to be older. I'd also make the MCU versions the uncle and aunt of Triton, Crystal and Karnak and Gorgon would remain a cousin of Black Bolt.

Crystal strikes me as somebody who Shailene Woodley would/should play.

I'm not sure who should be Karnak. Taylor Lautner is the only name coming to mind but I'm not even sure if he's who I'd really want. I'd try to hold a private casting session for him and if he's not perfect, switch to open casting.

Triton is hard to do a cast for. He'd need to be young, athletic, willing to be put under a ton of makeup and talk through a distorted voice due to his breathing mask. Triton should have an open casting call.

And Dwayne Johnson and Jason Momoa are both with the DCCU so neither of them could be Gorgon. Fox has Channing Tatum lacked down. Manu Bennett is the best choice even though he's with DC on TV. He should still have enough availability to be Gorgon.

If we're talking a more faithful adaptation, I'd cast Rose Leslie as Medusa (sorry for the GOT cast but it's true). Black Bolt can then be an open cast since he's just going to be the guy standing next to Medusa the whole time. I just want them to be older so Manu Bennett can be Gorgon.

How about Cliff Curtis for Gorgon?

Guys, from now on when suggesting Momoa show a picture from Stargate Atlantis so DrEvil doesn't get upset.

I just don't understand the fascination with Game of Thrones. I saw one episode and I didn't get it.

No more whiners in casting threads :) Get out

There are a ton of amaazing actors on GOT that deserve to be superheroes or in superhero movies. Deal with it

I guess it's because I'm one of five people on this earth to not watch the show.

Yeah probably. It's basically the best show of all time. Full of movie level actors that haven't broken out into movies yet

I think whomever plays Medusa will really depend on who is playing Black Bolt.
Not only for the right age range, but they have to have good speechless chemistry on screen.
Though if I'm casting I pick my Medusa as the first cast member and cast off her.

Medusa is a good role as they would pretty much be the lead of the film, so it needs to be an actress who could handle it.

If Vin is Blackbolt then Medusa should be in her late 30s at least.
If Vin is Karnak or someone else, and someone younger is Black Bolt, then their options open up a bit.

Vin could fit a lot the Inhuman characters, has there been any indication he'd definitely be Blackbolt?

Angelina Jolie is the kind of actress (not necessarily her) that I'd like to see. Someone with some edge to her and regalness. Angelina is probably too big of a star for it, but I'd use her as a model for the character. Preferably a lesser known actress, at about the level of Hemsworth pre-Thor. As for a name I'm not sure.

Hey Dr Evil, how about Lena Heady for Medusa? ;)

I remember her from the 300 movies and the Sarah Connor show than Game of Thrones.

It's the fancasting of those new to mainstream TV like Pedro Pascal and Kit Harrington that annoys me. It's the fact that everyone thinks they are great actors based only on Game of Thrones.

Jason Mamoa could do well as Gorgon, though he's out if he's playing Aquaman. For Black Bolt, Medusa, Maximus, and Crystal I'd cast Tom Hardy, Emily Blunt, James Franco, and Imogen Poots.

Tom Hardy and Emily Blunt would make a great BB n Medusa. Casting BB woud be a difficult casting though and you'd have to have someone game enough to play a mute for almost the the entire film which is the only reason I'm ok with Diesel in the role. I can't take his voice and speech seriously enough as royalty. Certainly will be a challenge.

After thinking on it some more, I think Eva Green would be a great Medusa.
