Well, if we see any in this forum, we usually euthanize 'em right away.

Doesn't Russia and China get alot of oil from Iran. If the US imposed sanctions those two countries would be mostly effected, NOT THE US.

If they were US imposed sanctions, they would not be affected because it only applies to the United States. And the United States has already imposed sanctions on Iran. Russia and China fear UN imposed sanctions because those kind of sanctions apply to every member of the United Nations. That would force Russia and China to either to conduct illegal trade deals with Iran which would make them look bad or they would be forced to no longer conduct business with Iran which would affect them.

Russia has invested into Iran, providing them with weapons, rocket technology, nuclear technology, industrial technology for industry and to build up Iran's oil capabilities. Russia doesn't need Iran's oil (Russia itself has tons of it).

China also invests in Iran and depends on Iran for oil for their booming industrial economy.

The United States would not be affected in anyway by UN imposed sanctions because the United States doesn't trade with Iran, not even for Iranian oil.

Does that mean that C.Lee will have to go away soon. He's getting a child soon :(

Anyways, woohoo for euthanizations, I hate old people

We'll kick some Russian ass. I hope that they'll come to their senses, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

C. Lee has tenure, unfortunately, nothing we can do about that one.

We could release some photos of him in a lurid embrace with a much younger woman.

Or man.

Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hinted Monday that Iran was considering withdrawing from the worldwide Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and said he did not think the U.N. Security Council would impose sanctions on Iran. "Those who speak about sanctions would be damaged more" than Iran, he told a news conference. "But no particular event will happen, don't worry."

posting the link in the title doesn't work as a link Dnsk

Ok, just what is this guy trying to accomplish? He keeps calling for Israel's destruction, says Iran has enriched uranium and says he may withdraw from the IAEA. Its like asking to be bombed and I dont see the point of it. Is he trying to provoke a larger war?

If this goes through, it will get a point where Russia and China have no choice but to agree to punish Iran.

The last thing Russia or China want is to become America's lapdogs. Why would they fight Iran? If anything a nuclear Iran strengthens their position.

Because the rest of the world opposes a nuclear Iran. Just like the invasion of Iraq made the United States and United Kingdom look bad (and in some ways France and the United Nations), this issue is going to make Russia and China look bad for opposing what is common sense:

IRAN CAN'T BE TRUSTED WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

A nuclear Iran would weaken the positions of Russia and China.

Yup. They both depend on Irans oil and natural gas, but Iran is vulnerable because it is surrounded by US troops and cant really defend itself. Nukes takes care of that problem.

Why because they elected a president that isn't afraid to talk s**t to Isreal and the U.S.? What if God forbid America elects a president who like to talk s**t? Does that mean America will give up nuclear weapons?

A nuclear Iran would weaken the positions of Russia and China.
A nuclear Iran would increase Russia and China's bargaining chips the same way a nuclear North Korea increases China's bargaining chips.

The United States lost it's balls to use nuclear weapons during the Cold War, Iran has the balls to use them, thats why.

China is embarrased by their support for North Korea and is making China look bad for not taking a bigger stance against it. Just like the United States and United Kingdom look bad for their invasion of Iraq, not punishing Iran will make Russia and China look bad. And these days looking bad in the international community is not a good thing.

Hinting?

If you count as pronouncing the doom of Israel and and the Western World as hinting, then it's possible that they might have left.

That's what MSNBC is reporting. MSNBC's David Shuster confirmed RawStory.com's story from earlier this year that Valerie Plame-Wilson was working on Iran's nuclear proliferation program when she was outted in 2003 and, as a result, that investigation was damaged by her outting.

Here's the video:

and a transcript of the clip with a link to the original story on RawStory.com:

When's Rove going to get the axe?

A top Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander said Tuesday that Israel would be Iran's first retaliatory target in response to any U.S. attack. "We have announced that whenever America does make any mischief, the first place we target will be Israel," the Iranian Student News Agency quoted Gen. Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghani as saying.
