The Jaws Test

Ok, guys, i'm a Jaws fanatic and what i'm about to do will be just be simply dumb.

I'm gonna watch Jaws once everyday for 1 year :( / :D

I feel kinda glad to this and hopefully i'll be in some kind article, so please, guys, what do you think?

I've done something similar to this when I was a kid. When the 1989 Batman was finally released on VHS, I watched it everyday for a month as soon as I came home from school. Needless to say, I can not bring myself to sit and watch Batman 89 anymore.

Good luck and hopefully you won't get like that with Jaws.

you know what... i dont think i could watch the entire movie everyday for a year... but... i could definately watch that part on jaws 3 once a day for a year when the black dude gets eaten by jaws and the guy on the boat yells in slow motion, "JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKEEEEEEEEEE!"

PLUS!

did you ever notice how on the tv version, Jake would come back after being bit by jaws floating along and everybody smiles, while on the VHS version (yes.. child of the 80s... I used to own this movie) he goes down in a bloody pool of shame and never comes back.

I think you mean Jaws: The Revenge.

jaws 3 was the one in 3D.

Never watched the tv version.

Are you going to watch the movie intently or will it just be on while you do other stuff? My guess is the second one soon into this.

Well I watched Jaws today, I'm gonna try to watch it tommorow wearing sun glasses.

Yeah, it was kinda cool, 362 more times to go :D give me ideas for tommorow.

I wouldn't recommend telling this to any girl that you are even remotely interested in.

But if you do tell her and she is impressed, you gotta lock that up.

I mean.. if you are going to watch something every day for a year, make it something short and exciting. Don't get me wrong, Jaws is a great movie, but you won't last two and a half weeks.

I respect your commitment to this. I would say try watching it with some sort of aquatic appeal like your feet in water or something.

So I watched it today with all the windows opened. Dunno what you guys are talking about, but this isnt getting hard one bit.

I'll get you in the paper in Wisconsin if you go through with this. It's a small college paper, but it's okay.

Jaws was one of my favorite movies growing up as a kid and I still love it. But I would never watch it every day. I would end up hating it, which would be a tragedy for me.

You know what I used to love? Dragonball Z. Used to watch it everyday after school. Owned a few home videos, too. Had a t-shirt. I looked up videos online. I had a website dedicated to it. I used to write fan fiction and parodies. Do you know what happened?

I got burned out on it. Now I can't stand it. I wasn't looking forward to the movie before the casting announcements or the footage hit the internet. Looking back, I'm not even sure why I liked that show so much. Whenever I do get around to seeing some of it, I notice every single flaw it has.

Don't do this to yourself and Jaws.

Replace every single time you said DBZ with Transformers... and that was me. :csad:

I kind of did the same thing with Hunter S. Thompson. I read the book "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", loved it, blindly bought the movie and loved it just as much. I rewatched the film at least 6 or 7 times in a week. I watched it twice in one day even. That was years ago. I still love the movie. It's one of my favorites. I just haven't seen it in years. I'm content if I never see it again. I sort of got my fill of it.

But what was great was that "Fear and Loathing" is just one example of Hunter S. Thompson's works. So I moved on to other books of his.

Peter Benchley wrote the "Jaws" novel, yes? And since you claim to be such a huge Jaws fan I'm sure you read it. So, branch off and discover more of Benchley's work such as "The Deep" or "The Island". Just don't sit there in some vegatative state watching the same film over and over again. Read a god damn book, kid. Or watch a different movie every night. If you're going to watch Jaws 24/7 for a year you might as well stamp "virgin" on your forehead and marry your hand.

OK. How has it been? You should be about 16 days in, right?
